It seems like she's copying her segyein's behaviours like how they view their pet human as something adorable, always cute and precious, even finding their cries and pain fun to see. Mistreated like a plaything, a toy. Mizi obviously was being traumatized by this and to escape that she wanted to go on anakt garden, using a coping mechanism of "crushing" (keeping like a plaything, asserting control, abusing or doing anything you want to it) someone else so she isn't "crushed" herself. Sua was perfect for this, completely loyal, adorable, obedient, and loved Mizi so much she wouldn't leave her even if she was being mistreated. But Mizi ends up realising...that she doesn't want to do this, she doesn't want to abuse Sua because she feels genuinely loved and truly loves her back and because she is human with empathy, she never gets to understand why either

The aliens treated her so bad ☹️

(LONG PARAGRAGH WARNING!!!!)I love the everlasting writing of actual humanity in the characters. I mean they never were taught how to love properly and it really shows. Mizi was constantly the one being controlled in her own home which she had thought was out of love. So naturally since her own mother thought she was likely adorable enough to be crushed that inflicted onto Mizi. And she had gotten so tired of constantly being the one crushed/adorable that the thought of doing it to someone else seemed almost needed from her own trauma. She needed her own sense of control to ground herself. But that ground was immediately shattered after Sua's death. She no longer had someone to ground her. So she had went mad at Luka in a trauma response.

hmmm what i made of this reveal, as an unconditional understander of mizi, is that mizi is as much human as she can be, its like they're even emphasizing the human vs alien world by showing the complexity of her emotions and actions. Starting off with naming body characteristics that are in same with sua, while all being human characteristics, really begins to show how she could've felt so isolated and oppressed by aliens who shared no resemblance to her or could ever try to understand/empathize, since it just seems like they can't. It seems the aliens treat her (or humans in broad) as toys/ fun things ( it reminds me of getting a toy puppy to look at it cutely roam around, pampering it for my enterainment, but as well, not caring if it hit the wall or i stepped on it because why would i emphathize with a toy and feel bad, its just a toy, yfm?) Now, putting a sentient human in that situation, it's obvious they are just gonna feel like their existence has no value, just a thing. Mizi in this situation, has all her actions stripped away, literally lost all bodily autonomy. Now imagine the traumatized mizi where she sees that she can escape her oppressors, get out of that suffocation of being treated like a toy for their amusement, and that hopeless, powerless place? Of course its understandable why she would go for that, like what? Another thing with how she wants to “crush” someone else. in short i feel like she’s trying to reclaim power, but in more length, i believe she could be identifying with the aliens (the oppressors and mizi the victim) by definition its a defense mechanism where the victim adopts the beliefs, behaviors, attidudes, and mimics the actions of the aggressors/oppressor in order to regain power/ reduce fear. This is SO seen in mizi: telling sua she’s adorable just like the aliens did to her, wanting to “crush” like the aliens did to her, be the one in ultimate power (upper hand) in relationships. So that's why i would believe that when she INITIALLY arrived, that was her purpose, she was mimicking what they had done to her to cope. Now it's SO SO SO SO IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND FACIAL EXPRESSIONS because as mizi is doing this treatment to sua she looks SO MISERABLE AGH MY HEART SHATTERS INTO BILLIONS. While the aliens couldn’t understand Mizi's distress as she's human, mizi would not be able to do the same things to sua without feeling anguished, especially to someone she has fallen in love with and truly cares about. That's why it's so heartbreaking seeing mizi’s last panel that she knows this isn’t the way she’ll regain herself, and it only pushes her deeper into her own spiral. Ugh i could keep on yapping but i gotta prepare myself for the new drop, i love you vvmeng keep shredding my heart till theres nothing left!! 💔

it really feels like Mizi entered Anakt Garden as an alien (wanting to control/crush another being), but left as a human (having experienced genuine love). that is depressing

mizi and her desperation to survive, to escape, to live, to be the one wielding the ability to crush rather than the one at risk of being crushed for once… and then what does it mean that along comes sua, so fragile and weak and easy to break, for mizi to recognise this and seek her out, to handle her gently in a way she herself never was, to place her on this pedestal of “divinity”, only to watch her inevitably get crushed just like her “provider” was, and on the very stage she wished to escape to… DUDE. feeling like a woodpecker with how fast + hard i’m knocking my head against my wall rn. i wasn’t gonna drink tonight but man… i’m missing mizisua like a MF 🙏🕊️

Oh my, thank you for all the Mizi insights we get! I'm happy to finally get her backstory and povs properly. At the end of the day she also is just an alien pet to the Segyein. Reminds me a lot of humans who think they treat their pets properly but actually are stressing them out by squeezing them too hard, feeding them weird stuff, training them excessively etc. Also explains a lot why she wanted to go to anakt garden. Finally she's not being the small one, that might get crushed/tossed around. And finally some other humans.

Wow, after these two comics, Mizi is now one of my top two favorite characters. I feel bad for thinking she was just the typical character that everyone loves because she's so charismatic, kind, and cute. MIZI, you're amazing, and I'm so sorry. I think a lot of people are misunderstanding her, and after this comic, the hate is going to get worse. I feel like Mizi went there out of pure curiosity and that at first her emotions were indeed inferential and perhaps superior to others, but then she truly fell in love with Sua and formed real bonds of friendship with others, such as Ivan, for example. She just wanted friends, which is why she reacted so badly when that guy said those things to her. But she really cares, I'm sure. She tried to save Till even though Hyuna told her not to go and other things. MIZI isn't a bad person, she's just hurt and feels guilty and prefers to think she's the villain of the story.
