Following up on last week's post, we're taking you behind the scenes of <wiege>! In this post, we're sharing some of the early planning materials for <wiege> and how it came to be.
1. Mood Board
For this episode, it was essential to delicately refine the emotional spectrum with even greater precision. More than just achieving visual beauty, we focused on designing how each final look could capture and convey emotions and depth through color.
This mood board played a key role in shaping the final result, helping to create a nostalgic and romantic atmosphere filled with emotion!
These are the initial image boards created during the planning stage of <wiege>. However, as the storyboard developed, the key focus points and expressions shifted, leading to all of them being discarded.
Sometimes, even when image boards are carefully crafted, they are boldly scrapped depending on the overall vision and flow envisioned by the chief director.

These are all interesting Concepts. It's a shame that they didn't get to be in the episode. I like more character development and World building. Maybe something more potentially to be used in the future? Also I would like to see another art book. That could probably explain a little more deeper on some of the production. Perhaps more scenes from blink gone, Wiege, and karma. Could even be used, some rough drafts of what could have went into some of the comics even. I do see the likelihood of enough material to be put into another art book. Maybe even explain some of the breakdowns of writing the lyrics. And I would love to know more information on the aliens along with some of the other characters. It'd be interesting to know more about Dewey, Isaac, and maybe some other information of the kids of the garden. I heard rumors about some stuff on Acorn. So much information that could be used.

IT WAS ALL FAKE????? oh God, I should have realized that the happy scenes from ANAKT were fake, holy shit, idk why it never occurred to me, probably bc they already put modern AU there so it did not make me question that the ANAKT could also be AU my gad aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa they were never so happy, I think my brain just rejected that idea 😭😭😭
tbh, everything is an AU, if ur in a modern universe, ALNST universe wld be an AU to u, but if ur in ALNST universe, modern universe wld be an AU to u, there is no "one true universe". everything is just from different perspectives
I wouldn't change anything about Wiege. It's nice to see the initial ideas tho. I think one of them is how Hyuna met Luka for the first time.

I'm really sorry, but I think the early image board shows the world view and the Lukahyuna story better, so I think it's better than the wiege we have now. I think it would have been easier for the viewers to understand if I had put it in instead of a modern au, but that's too bad.
if they needed those scenes to convey the message they wanted, they definitely would have kept them. i believe they prefer to not make certain things obvious, so it’s up to us viewers to use what we’re given to piece things together. they were very very careful to craft the idea they had in their minds, and it’s okay if that didn’t align with how you want to see alnst, but it is their story to share. please trust their judgment 😖🙏❤️
