Your DMM Library now knows your TV shows, and streaming from Usenet no longer writes the whole film to your disk

Your Library recognizes TV shows now too, not just movies. Season packs and single episodes get the show's real name and the season or episode they hold, plus the blue verified check, and Go to show page takes you straight to the show. DMM decides by itself whether a release is a movie or a show, and when DMM already knows a release's hash under a title, that counts as a second opinion, so more of your Library gets the check. Casting an identified release no longer asks you for the IMDb id. On phones the info popup hides the poster so the release details stay in view, and it finally has a way out.

If you don't watch anime, there's a new setting under Torrent Search & Discovery that hides it from search and from the home page.

Real-Debrid changed its filename filter again on October 10. All eleven tags are back and capitalization no longer matters. DMM and zurg follow the new rules, and DTS REMUXes without a resolution in front of BluRay.DTS show up again. The full list is updated here https://www.patreon.com/debridmediamanager/posts/complete-list-of-158388927 When Real-Debrid pauses adds on your whole account, DMM now tells you it can last hours instead of promising a 30 second wait, and it keeps retrying a release you're watching for up to five minutes. zurg retries after 30, 90 and 300 seconds and holds the account's other adds meanwhile.

zurg can now move finished Real-Debrid and AllDebrid releases into a local library and delete the torrent from your account. AllDebrid stops at 1000 magnets and RD accounts fill up too, but a finished release doesn't need its torrent to keep playing because RD and AllDebrid links keep working after the torrent is gone. zurg writes the release into the local library first and only then deletes the torrent, so it stays in the same folders in your mount and keeps playing. Add the same account a second time as a local library, then pick it in the account's settings on the dashboard along with how long a release has to be finished before it moves. Move to local library on a release's page moves one by hand.

Streaming from Usenet no longer writes the whole film to your disk. zurg used to keep a copy of every Usenet article it downloaded, so playing a film wrote all of it to disk, about 17 GB an hour on a busy server, and the small cache filled up again within minutes so the copies were rarely there when they could have helped. That's a lot of wear on an SSD for nothing. Now zurg only keeps what gets read again after a restart, the first and last 8 MiB of every file you play or scan plus the headers and indexes of RAR and 7z archives, and everything else stays in memory. Replaying a library scan, a film played through, some seeking and a whole release being copied, disk writes fell from about 13 GB to about 100 MB. A scan after a restart also finds everything it read last time still on disk instead of fetching it from the news server again.

zurg's Radarr and Sonarr control got a long list of fixes. exclude_words keeps words like DV or HDR10+ out of every grab, and best_first takes your profile's best quality first instead of the release that's quickest to check. An episode that aired in the last two days gets retried within minutes instead of hours. Shows past season 19, anime, range and spelled out episode names, multi season packs whose year Sonarr reads as the season, and shows named in another language all get found now, and daily shows on your Plex watchlist are numbered by their air dates. Radarr also sticks to the language your profile asks for. Guide https://notes.debridmediamanager.com/guides/acquisition/

The Plex trash sweep and single folder scans no longer refresh the metadata of your whole library section, which was quietly burning a lot of debrid traffic on big libraries, and zurg now logs which files spend an account's traffic and warns past a daily size. One account that refuses its key no longer stops the whole library from loading. On Usenet zurg checks a sample of article bodies so a release whose content was taken down no longer passes as finished, and PAR2 repair runs on every core but one. FYI: all of the zurg changes here need the nightly from October 11 or later.

All seven zurg plugins for Jellyfin can find new items from Jellyfin's search now. Search for something you just added to your debrid and it's there without waiting for the next sync. It's off by default, turn it on in each plugin's settings.

DMM's Usenet to Real-Debrid transfers have a daily allowance now, 300 GB per account and 2 TB for sponsors, counted over a rolling 24 hours. Past it your next jobs wait in the queue instead of failing and start as soon as there's room again. Over the last month 300 GB would only have slowed a handful of the heaviest accounts.
