The streak of watching movies I've actually seen comes to a screeching halt this week, as we screen an obscure Mafia/Horror pastiche from one of my favorite visionary directors. It's a film that only Frank D'Angelo could make (and at times it seems as if he was actually the only guy making it), a picture that dares to imagine, "What if an old prick ate a weird banana and got really long fingernails from it?" With over 2 hours of end-of-career fun from Robert Loggia, James Caan, Daryl Hannah (???) and many more, this is one epic that'll be sure to have you saying "What did that guy say? I couldn't hear it. The music is way way too loud and the microphone is, like, inside his sports coat."

Another classic for the hall of fame, congrats all round. Minor quibble though - this doesn't feel like a Jesse movie. I thought a Jesse movie had to have zero lasting impact on the viewer, once it's over it's done and your life goes on. It's like eating lettuce without sauce.
