Blink and you'll miss an update or two (now ENHANCED)
[New information added August 26]
So, our beloved https://store.steampowered.com/app/3321460/Crimson_Desert/ got a major update , and with the occasion the game jumped to a nice round 2.00.00 version number. You can go to our usual place to download the new early access release of R.E.A.L. (v2608.26.2) which will allow you to keep playing this delightful experience in VR.
There's also a huge new release of DLSS/Ray Reconstruction by NVIDIA that brings RR up to version 4.5 (preset F). Performance hasn't really changed, so a powerful card is still needed to be able to feast on all that eye candy. But at more or less the same fps, what we're getting is a plethora of amazing improvements in image quality. I asked Brandon's permission to quote him directly on this matter:
"I'd say it is a major improvement across the board really. I don't see the same smeary lighting issues or grainy shadows in places. Even using DLSS balanced, it looks fantastic. It is hard to find any shimmering, ghosting or lighting artifacts when using upscaling now."
"And the water! Way less shimmering on the water when you are up close too!"
"And that awful DLSS ghosting on moving objects is almost non existent!!! Birds, leaves, I didn't even notice any really. It is actually quite amazing. Could still be some in some instances, I didn't go check out the fireflies or confetti.
This is the first time I would actually go the RR route despite the resolution drop honestly. It looks absolutely beautiful. And you don't have to sacrifice too hard because it still looks that way using upscaling."
A technical note: the new DLSS/RR library is not officially out yet, so just updating the game won't get you the bells and whistles. You need to use something like DLSS Swapper to force the new Preset F, which comes with version 310.7.129 of the dll. Or if you use the NVIDIA App to override the game choices, be sure that you have activated the "Opt in to access Beta or experimental features" checkbox, otherwise the latest version won't be available.
Again, thanks to Brandon for helping me sort that out.
So what are you waiting for? If you haven't yet started your playthrough of CD, or if you have been distracted by the many other games we can play in VR these days, this might be the perfect moment to dive in!
[Original post follows]
https://store.steampowered.com/app/3321460/Crimson_Desert/ got two more official patches, and guess what? VR support was broken.
I fixed it now, and Brandon tested it super thoroughly!
You can safely update the game to version 1.18.02, which I hope will remain current at least for today, and then install my new early access release v2608.17.2 from the usual place. Remember that you need to rerun RealConfig after unpacking the archive and overwriting the old files.
Besides restoring VR functionality, I also fixed the crosshair in CD. It will now be drawn at the correct depth (in contact with the surface you're going to hit) instead of somewhere in the middle between your eye and the hit point. I have no idea how long this bug had been there, maybe even from the beginning? It didn't keep you from aiming correctly, but it made the crosshair look slightly doubled. Anyway, it's working properly now.
Also, I was asked to extend the PPD slider to support resolutions up to 50 pixels per degree. It was an easy change, but you will only get the extended range it you can prove that you are a power user, because it's very likely that hitting those extreme pixel densities will make the game you're playing overcommit VRAM and grind down to a halt, possibly bringing the whole system down with it. Hint: one way to show that you are a power user is by manually adding the line ExpertMode=1 to the [RVR] section in the RealVR.ini file before launching the game. It needs to be done separately for each game where you want the extended upper limit. Also, power users don't complain when their adventurous decisions get them in trouble; they just reboot and keep on tinkering []-D
Enjoy!!

you mentioned expanding the ppd slider to 50. Where is this slider, I cant find it??
You need to enable expert mode for that. Under the [RVR] section in the RealVR.ini file add ExpertMode=1 That should add the slider increase as well as open up other AER V2 modes, but be careful. All that stuff is only enabled that way for a reason 😉
Finished Dead space, really enjoyed it. I wonder what new game is next?
You may just hear something shortly 🦞 (That is a happy lobster)
Hi Luke, I’m an VR Friend Patreon subscriber, and I’m trying to play Crimson Desert in full 360° VR using your mod. I followed all the installation instructions, and the game does open in my VR headset. However, it is displayed on a large flat virtual screen instead of running in immersive 360° VR. Has anyone experienced this issue, or is there a specific setting I may have missed? Please let me know which settings, screenshots, or log files you need, and I’ll provide them. Thanks in advance for your help!
It is currently broken after the last update. Hopefully a fix will be dropping soon 🤞
Been messing around with dlss 5 and cant ad it to current modded game because of the reshade dll file ,question is can we remove it and let reshade add the required file it needs
Can you remove the framework and use Reshade and DLSS 5? Sure :) Can you use Optiscaler to use DLSS 5 with REAL? Yes :) Or you could just......To be continued.......
Ack! Just my luck., broken with latest updates when I finally decide to check it out. Was curious to check out the latest with DLSS 4.5 stuff. Please Let us know if there is anything new on that front as well with the latest NVIDIA driver updates a few days ago. Sounds like the latest rec is DLSS RR 4.5 preset F? I'm a little confused on the DLSS 4.5 vs 4.5L options.
Ray Reconstruction got updated to 4.5 and uses preset F. DLSS 5 would be the newest actual DLSS with Neural Rendering but that is a different beast. DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution has been out for a while. For DLSS SR or upscaling, the presets change as they advance. E is a much older preset from earlier DLSS 3 days but cost less performance, K is a later one that looks better and handles motion better and L and M were the newer DLSS 4.5 presets. You can mostly stick with default unless you want to try out K for better motion stability and a bit less performance hit over L or M and E if you want more performance but worse image quality. Unless you are really into tinkering with everything, you could just stick with default :)
Anyone else having trouble not getting a full VR roomscale experience anymore? I don´t know if I have changed some settings (not intentionally), but all I get now is a large window in front of me... What I see in this window, is indeed in VR. But I want to be able to look around and turn my head, not look through a window... I have no idea what to do to get back to full roomscale. :(
What game? Not really :) I had it happen briefly in Hogwarts but the old trick of turning off DLSS for a moment fixed that. That is just a quirk with that one though.
OK read carefully this guide: 1 - use dlss swapper and change dlss ingame to 310.5.3 or newer and enable preset M, and set DLSS Performance in-game 2 - pick your dlss5 NR file according to your gpu https://github.com/RankFTW/rhi-repo/releases/download/dlssnr-310.8.0/nvngx_dlssnr_310.8.0.zip https://github.com/RankFTW/rhi-repo/releases/download/dlssnr-310.8.0-RTX40/nvngx_dlssnr_310.8.0-RTX40.zip 2b - put the dll into game directory 3 - Download my Optiscaler build here https://github.com/tig3rmast3r/OptiScaler_DLSSNR_VR/releases/tag/v0.1.1-dlssnr-vr2 3b - Unzip into game directory and install using the bat file as winmm.dll 4 - Download my OFXR-Bridge here https://github.com/tig3rmast3r/OFXR-Bridge/releases/tag/v0.1.0 4b - Unzip anywhere, launch it, arm it and select nvidia (medium) backend + 50% OFA size 5 - Open the game, press INS and enable DLSS5 Tested only Ghost of Tsushima atm but at least OFXR works almost anywhere with Luke's games FPS before this guide = 89 FPS after this guide with dlss5 = 89
many thanks to "Master of Findings" flobv :) and to all the guys involved on the above projects.
So, I just noticed I don't seem to have an option for AERv2 in Doom TDA - is that to be expected? Also I have noticed in that game that turning with controls quickly causes some kind of blurring or tearing like the world is lagging behind. This doesn't happen when looking around with the headset or turning 360 though so I'm wondering if it's something on my end, or if it's just a limitation of what we're getting to do here. It just makes the game a bit harder to follow since it's already so frantic
Yeah, I think tearing or doubling is pretty unavoidable in this one, but it depends on the rendering mode you are using. The literal AER V2 rendering mode caps at 2x your refresh rate and uses AER without any interpolation, so that is pretty useless in a performance hungry game like this. It is default in the other DOOM games because performance easily allows for it, especially on a very high-end system. If you are using 1/2 or 1/3 the interpolation will cause more artifacts or tearing in this game, but this also depends on the fps you are playing at as well. AER V2 would probably help with this a lot at 144fps if you could use it with your headset set to 72hz or something but even that isn't really feasible. Without making drastic visual sacrifices. So, experiment and see what rendering mode works best for you but expect some degree of doubling, tearing or artifacts from rotation. The difference between this game and the others really comes down to performance load. As with most modern games 😢 Of course, make sure you are not using anything like ASW and are hitting the fps cap for whatever rendering mode you are using.
Hi everybody. Last Crimson Desert update broke the mod? Or it's only to me? Game start normaly and I see in VR the first menu as usually, but when load a game, it's remain in a big floating screen.
Yup, they broke it again 😢
Hi can i not run horizon west decently with i5 1400f 16 gb ram and 3060ti ?
The key (subjective) word is, "decently". It depends on what you mean by that. It is a somewhat demanding title still and you are running it in VR. What kind of fps do you get playing at 4k flat with that system? Then you have to realize that even 4k up close in VR is not going to look like 4k :) You have to account for puting a camera inside the game up close to everything, similar to having a 720p image and then using it for your monitor wallpaper, it is going to look worse. Which you would solve the same way by increasing the resolution of the image. The 8GB of VRAM is going to be pretty limiting for games like this in VR. Definitely change settings to low starting out, be ready to hit a resolution wall because of the low VRAM. You can also use the fov limiting sliders to increase the image quality of lower resolutions. If you watch my Crimson Desert video, I cover those sliders, which may be a big help to you in this case. If you are using Virtual Desktop, it has the same kind of sliders. https://www.patreon.com/realvr/posts/oops-he-did-it-165963242 Also, there is the fallback of using mono rendering mode which can help with performance and visual quality. It is the render from one eye, so no Stereo3d, but if you really want to play the game in a more immersive way than your monitor, worth trying. Your headset is another important factor. If you are using a something with a larger fov but relatively low panel resolution, that can make performance/visual quality more difficult too. Although a high-resolution headset wouldn't make much sense over a system upgrade.
Hi I am new (sorry). where can i discuss the problem I have?
could you pass this link to Luke https://www.reddit.com/r/virtualreality/comments/1w6hurl/cheekyfoveateddlss_foveated_dlss_reshade_addon/ could be his next big feature.
I already shared it with him 🙃
Hey Guys how are people getting on with DLSS 5 reshade leak is it working well with real mods? I am very interested in the NR aspects of DLSS5 in vr even if performance isn't quite perfect
i have no idea how people are using DLSS 5 with LRVR, could someone explain how this is done? The hookups for DLSS5 i've seen are reshade addons.
Thanks , i switched from optisacler to the reshade version, so i switch back again,
For now yeah :) Things are changing so fast with DLSS 5 that who knows what the best option will be on a given day 😁
Hi, now since dlss5 iIS AVAILABLE i tried to install it with onclick installer. The game is watchdogs 1, 2, 3. So the requirements got installed . The game launches. But reshade is not loaded so no neural rendering possible just dlss . I got an error in onclick saying that the dxdgi.dll from reshade is not loaded, I guess because real vr use a dxdgi.dll , too. So which one should i rename and what to choose(d3d12.dll?) or does that neural rendering not work at all. Is it possible to get detailed instructions for all luke ross vr games? THX
That won't work with REAL. The Optiscaler route has worked for me in a handful of games so far. https://github.com/Dagherbou/OptiScaler_DLSSNR It will also give you access to the sliders to adjust DLSS 5, which is nice.
Creamy Desert devs at it again!
Someone already modded foveated DLSS 5 and saw up to 80% more fps on a 0.2 width foveated region. This is a game changer. https://www.reddit.com/r/virtualreality/comments/1w6hurl/cheekyfoveateddlss_foveated_dlss_reshade_addon/
The rate that things have changed in the past few months has been insane. Someone just released a dlss 5 swapper. https://github.com/rakanki911/DLSS5-Swapper
Hi, would it be possible for Luke to post the Elden ring setup please as I've got it to work but I cannot change the resolution (I must be crazy trying this game again).
Resolutions are in the game settings, he added custom ones right in :) Make sure you have it in windowed mode.
Like other Luke Ross mods, 007 First Light looks great and performs extremely well. Unfortunately, with the game scaling, I cannot see some of the game text prompts and dialog display. How can I reduce the scale or change placement of this text so it is visible within the headset display area? Changing the world scale or the UI scale does not help.
You can change the sub size in game settings to make it larger. For button prompts, you could try this Immersive HUD mod to see if the smaller scale and simpler text make a difference. https://www.nexusmods.com/007firstlight/mods/60 Unfortunately, not a lot of options.
Hey folks, I am currently trying to get Ghost of Tsushima back up running. It was all nice and sweet with my Quest 3 but I can't get it running with the Pimax Dream Air. My current setup roughly is: Pimax Evo + Sboys driver to fix a distortion issue. Games are using OpenXR (works so far with all other games though I had to input PreferredAPI2=2 into the RealVR file to make them launch instead of usually just going with auto). Ghost of Tsushima loads a bit, I can see the RealVR overlay and then adios. I tried to switch the Steam input settings to no avail, renamed the sl.interposer.dll (not starting at all) and deactivated DLSS. Tried two different RealVR versions, the latest and the one from like 4 weeks ago. https://pastebin.com/zS255C5S
Hmmmmmm, I don't see anything right off in the log file. I'll have to try it later this evening. I haven't tried that game in quite a while :) I am listening to Dungeon Crawler Karl with my fam right now. Glad to hear you upgraded from the Quest 3 to the Dream Air, what are your thoughts? Pretty crazy visual upgrade? Oh! Don't rename the interposer file. It is a hard requirement nowadays I believe. I think that advice was from when it was relatively new.
Hi did anybody tried dlss5 in VR ?
it'll likely tank your fps, and that's if it works
OK, if you want a brief look at the future of DLSS, in VR, you can use this fork of Optiscaler to get it working in some games :) You will have to learn to use a gamepad with one hand because it is going to cost you the other one and both legs 😒Seriously, the performance cost is steep for now. Just download the Optiscaler fork, put all the files in the same game folder as the Real files and run the setup_windows .bat file :) I had to pick d3d12.dll as the Optiscaler file name for my Nvidia GPU, or games would crash on startup. Luke recommends the .asi option for AMD GPUs. You will then have to press insert ion game to open the menu and open the DLSS NR panel down on the left side to use the checkbox to enable DLSS NR. There are some sliders for NR control, but I didn't try them yet. It was like almost 3am and I needed to get to bed. You can lower the strength down to 75% to cover some of the fps loss and it looks like it still works pretty well 🤷♂️ Still a big hit though. You will also need a copy of the DLSS NR file that you drop into the same folder. Should be pretty easy to get, not sure if I should be sharing it here though :) This is totally at your own risk, if you try it in a game and things end up broken, don't blame me!!! I got it working in DS2023, Cyberpunk and Hogwarts Legacy so far. Didn't work in CD, the whole world was just grey :) https://github.com/Dagherbou/OptiScaler_DLSSNR/releases/tag/v0.1.1-dlssnr
thanks, i had tried the reshade way and it doesn't work, had the same issue with gray world in CD (in 2D). will try with optiscaler instead.
Hey. What you think about latest DLSS5 leak. Can you make it work with RealVR?
I was able to use it in Cyberpunk so far but not CD. I don't think Luke will try to get anything working until it actually releases, if so :) I have mixed thoughts about it personally. Being able to make naked ladies look more realistic in Skyrim VR is definitely a plus, so it is hard to be totally against it 😉 I will find it quite humorous if DLSS5 starts making unattractive female protagonists in modern games more attractive 😋
There a race going on between VR modders right now to implement DLSS 5 in VR. Would be a great moment to step in and show them who's the boss :) If you manage to be the first to add DLSS 5.
Why do you want to halve your fps so badly? 🙃
Does the tarnished DLC work with the elden ring framework?
Probably, if it only adds new outfits and appearances and stuff like that. Haven't tried it though. Doesn't look like the game has any updates due to the DLC, so it probably works fine.
Thanks, Luke, for all the games you’ve included so far! I blinked, and now we’re already on game version 2.00.01, and the framework isn’t working for me. 🤨 It must be hard to keep up with a game that gets updated so often!
For CD? CD should still work with the latest hotfix.
It's a shame but I'm really struggling with kill the leviathan. I have a lightened gamepad so the joysticks are ultra sensitive and trying to hit anything is really difficult. Oh well back to doom dark ages then :)
Can you use software to adjust the sensitivity? Or in the game settings?
Can anyone help me adjust the HUD in HZR? I am doing it in the HZR section and using the x/y axis sliders, like in the description of what you are ment to do, but its changing nothing in my game. I cant see any HUD elements when in game, and I barely see the weapon wheel, it moves with my head, and is just out of view.
I responded to your other post :)
Hi Brandon, I just get a black screen with crimson desert, obviously I'm doing something wrong. I have emailed you the file mate.
👍
I just want to take a moment to thank Luke. The best VR experiences besides HL Alyx have definitely been Cyberpunk and GTA V so far. I also enjoy experimenting with other VR mods and UEVR, but I've never had this kind of polished experience anywhere else. Especially the VR mods with forced 6DoF motion controllers have never satisfied me. I prefer playing a game the way it was originally intended. The comfort of regular gaming combined with the added immersion of VR is, for me personally, the best of both worlds. Sometimes I'm puzzled by Luke's choice of games, and I'll probably never understand why James Bond or Death Stranding need VR mods, but so be it. On the other hand, I'm absolutely loving the Doom mods right now. No hassle, just install the mod and off you go.
I HIGHLY rec trying RDR2 in LR VR (but you’ll have to go get an older version unfortunately). I played start to finish in VR and put like 90 hours into it. Also 2077 (110 hours) and gta5 (many many hours)
I can't manage to get this one set to a usable level, even on the 5090. 1/3 fps introduces too many artifacts. 1/2 kind of works at 72 fps but with a mushy resolution and it tanks when you go indoors. You have to play at a very low resolution or DLSS ultra performance, to have somewhat stable fps. The shadow artifacts are a big problem, still present at lighting set to max and even if I enable the new RR profile F, the artifacts are gone, but now there's a difference between how they are represented in each eye. It seems this was a good test, but I don't think I can be used for a full playthrough of the game.
I don't notice much fps difference at all when switching between indoor and outdoor. Are you going into a building with tons of NPCs from an outdoor location with not many? Sounds like something is up, especially the artifacts showing up differently in each eye. Do you have HAGS on? Do you have different DLSS or other settings conflicting in different softwares like DLSS swapper and Nvidia App? Using SSW ASW or anything like that? Other mods installed?
another update just dropped
looks like a tiny hotfix, I'll try it though.
Luke. Are you able to work with Unreal based games? I ask as the UEVR is janky as all hell and I am TIRED of wasting hours of my time per game to end up with a mess that makes me want to stop playing VR entirely and go back to flat screen. I just spend most of today trying to get Subnautica 2 running in VR. Truly spectacular visuals and the underwater presence is breathtaking (literally). But MY GOD is it a nightmare to run using UEVR. I eventually came to the conclusion “This would be SOOO much better if Luke Ross modded it as I would not have to waste hours of my time and when its working it would just WORK! I don’t care about janky barely usable hand controls, I just wana play this great game in VR” I know you have been avoiding games that are on Unreal, is this because you don’t want to compete with UEVR or some other issues? Please Luke. Only you can save us.
Have you tried asking in the game's channel for a gamepad profile? I also don't like motion controls much in most games, so I usually just play UEVR games with a gamepad. I can't I have had a hard time getting UEVR games to work decently unless there is some conflict between the game and UEVR itself, but usually you can adjust cvars or check a couple boxes and they end up working fine. In the case of Sub2, I was using Joey Hodges backend, and it was working decently well for me a while back. But overall, there is now a group of people that usually build profiles and try to get them working, so it doesn't really make sense for Luke to try and do the same games multiple people are already working on. I think most people would rather Luke just do a non-UE game for more variety. Plus, there is the whole crowd of VR users that want motion controls. I think it would just raise a big stink in the community if Luke did games that already work fine with UEVR, especially if the people over there already put a bunch of effort into getting them working.
Thanks for the link in the post ❤️
Luke is the goat, thanks for a quick update. RenoDX reshade addon for CD has so many graphical improvements, wish we could use that mod somehow.
I found a trick for those still struggling with RR, try turning it on but then turn of RT, it seems to leave everything in a better state with almost no shimmering but way better performance, there is also a mod on Nexus to stop RR force lighting to max, so you can drop lighting for better performance.
Are you using an AMD card? For Nvidia that doesn't work well because the game enables a bunch of extra stuff with RR that just stays enabled even if you turn down lighting quality. I remember trying it months ago. I asked AI just in case something had changed and this is what I got. Although 10% would be welcome as long as it doesn't add that extra noise. "It does work on Nvidia — the lock is removed and you can set Lighting Quality below Max while RR stays on. It just doesn’t deliver much for most RTX cards. Recent Nexus comments (August 2026, latest 1.16.01 version) show the split: Some mid-range cards (3070 Ti) get a big, usable FPS jump and RR becomes playable. Higher-end cards (3080, 5080) often see almost nothing: 2–5 FPS or flat-out “no visual or performance difference between Medium/High/Ultra/Cinematic/Max once RR is on.” The original author noted ~10% on their Nvidia hardware plus extra noise. That still holds for a lot of people. There is also a NoEnhRT variant of the mod that stops RR from forcing the hidden enhancedRayTracing flag. That version gives a tiny extra bump on some rigs, but it’s still modest. So, the common “it doesn’t work on Nvidia” takeaway is half-right: the setting change applies, but RR’s neural denoiser is so tightly coupled to the Max-quality sample data that lowering lighting often just adds noise or does almost nothing. AMD users keep reporting much larger gains from the same mod. If you want to try it, grab the current Nexus version (MrHallsworth’s update of the original Nostyx mod) and test both the regular and NoEnhRT files. Clear shader cache after installing. On a 5090-class card the difference is usually too small to bother; on something like a 4070/5070 it can be worth a look."
The game that keeps on giving... though everything in life is a double-edged blade. Dudes, and I was keen to try out the new RR preset F too! Oh well.... Can I buy you some coffee beans Luke?
The new RR preset is amazing! Even with upscaling it still looks fantastic!
Todays enhanced update broke CD again. Looks like it might be pretty bad. Copy your current (not updated) game folder before updating, let Steam update the game and then copy the files from your not updated copy into the updated game folder. That should hold you until Steam tried to update the game again. which could honestly be tomorrow. If you need to roll back, here are basic instructions for Steam. Open the Steam Console Press Win + R Type: steam://open/console Press Enter. A Console tab will appear in Steam. Download the old version In the console, type download_depot 3321460 3321461 5632309820413013913 Press Enter. That should download the previous game version to [Your Steam folder]\steamapps\content\app_3321460\depot_3321461 Just copy the files from inside that game folder into the updated game folder in your Steam game folder.
There is a Crimson Desert Enhanced Update, does anyone already check if it breaks VR again?
Ha, probably will. Looks like some big changes. Unfortunately, I don't see any graphical improvements listed :( I'll update and check it out.
Hey Luke what about Puredark's AFW ? i guess that combining that with your custom FrameGen would be amazing!!
I thought about that too. But isn't AER v2 like a similar kind of thing ?
Hey, mind helping me please? I recently upgraded to a new PC (new OS everything) my old PC the realvr mods worked just fine and now for some reason it doesn't work. I have the .bat working and it installs the files for the games then when I try to play it it says "This application is not supported by the real vr mod". I tried Cyberpunk, Uncharted and Stray.
Windows 11? What seems to be the problem? What headset?
Thanks, increasing the resolution scale to 120% did the trick (100% for some reason was not enough). Performance is amazing, at 3200x1800 VR resolution and 3840x2169 render resolution (40 ppd) with all settings maxed out on Ultra, I still get 150-160fps. Can wait to start playing this game. Still need to finish TLOU2 quickly :)
About to finish TLOU2, flawless experience, thanks Brandon. Preparing for U4-ATE using the latest early access version (v2608.17.2) but I'm getting a flicker every few seconds which also seems to reverse (or at least ruin) the stereoscopic images for a ms. The output is most stable with AERv2 and gets worse the higher I go with the divider (AERv2 < 1/2 < 1/3 and so on). Also the depth of menu screen with the hanging skeleton is completely messed up. I'm using the latest nighty build of VRto3D, so it's quite possible, that this is a bug with VRto3D and NOT your tool, as I don't own a HMD...
Thanks for reposting :) All thanks for your TLOU2 experience in VR should go to Luke 😉 I remember having visual issues on this one and it turned out the resolution scale setting was set lower than 100 and that fixed it for me. That doesn't mean that is the issue for you, but check that. You can also try the "frame delay compensation" slider in the REAL overlay to see if that fixes it.
Still waiting for The Walking Dead of Harran… bringing the huge, real-life city into Dying Light :)
is it possible to get FOV restrictions working in Elden Ring, i see the widget , but it has no effect.
Hmmmmmm, I'll have to check that out, thanks for reporting. What headset are you using and how is it connected if not DisplayPort?
Thanks, Luke... I'm totally hooked on Crimson Desert now!
I'm running into an issue where the window for REAL VR is way too big and spills off the screen. I can't seem to get the size to change at all. I'm sure I'm overlooking something simple, but could someone give me a hand?
Depending on the game, you can use the PPD slider or pick one of the lower custom resolutions in the game settings, if Luke was able to add them. That will shrink the window. If you are running a pretty high res for VR, then the window being that big is because it is a higher res than your monitor. Gamepad is recommended for reasons like that :) Unless you mean the REAL overlay itself. If so, I'll link a navigation doc I made that goes over shortcuts for resizing as well. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1UZt0Z-mzZC0-EEe2nseQRQrKcacd1phLaX2WRkyPGaY/edit?usp=sharing
Thanks Luke! I've actually been running your VR mod for a while at 50+ PPD before this release. My rig is Dream Air + 9953 + Pro6000, and I play in mono mode using DLSS presets M or L. The one thing that's holding me back is FF7 Rebirth: I can't push the resolution past 4976*4976. It seems like the devs hardcoded that limit, because the moment I try to go higher, I get a DirectX error. Is there any way to unbind the actual render resolution and the window size, the way UEVR does it?
Not that I am aware of. I think he can depending on the game, because for some games the window size is still pretty small, but I am not actually sure.
Dead Space VR troubles me so much , i got to take a break from time to time. I dont understand how this game run so beautifully in VR compare to other title. All the particules and lightning effect makes darker environment way more terrifying . Already played on flatscreen and even then i thought it was scarry . If you have heart condition , consult your doctor prior to play this :-) .
what a treat

50? In most games I’m running between 16 and 25 on a 5090.. For what games and with what kit are people managing anywhere near 50? I’m Humbled and Astonished

I don't know about "super thoroughly" but I tested quite a few things 😁 There is so much stuff in this game!
Thanks Luke! You are the best! ❤️
