I think a podcast COULD acheive the level of excellence of the 'best', it would just require effort completely separate from the effort expected of a podcast. Podcasts are an audio format, but don't actually rely on sound design in the way other auditory media does, because if they did, podcasts would be exhausting and unsustainable. You could make a dozen or so really good podcast episodes, that would function as a sort of interview-style audiobook, but then you'd be more audiobook/radioplay than podcast, which might defeat the point. TLDR podcasts aren't acheiving excellence because they are designed to be sustainable in an audio format, while not actually using the unique benefits and structures of an audio format (because that makes the podcast harder to produce and less sustainable).
This is also why the yard has gone on record saying this is more of a video series than a podcast, because the audio element is so incidental that many of their episodes require the visual side to understand. (I don't remember which episode, but it was Nick who said it, if i remember.)

To answer what Nick said at 51:30, it isn't about it being the "best" and "winning" in a broad sense, it is the best in their world at that time, and that is subjective to that person. So they are right that it is the best in the world to them, and you are right that it is not the best in the world. You didn't win the world merit with their comment, you won that person's merit.

If you’re just developing a mature hairline, that is entirely unavoidable and very different from hair loss. AFAIK medication cannot stop that transition.
