Local Heroes price update - current members keep their price

Hey everyone,

I wanted to give you a heads-up about an upcoming change to the Local Heroes tier.

Starting September 1, the price for new Local Heroes members will change from $2.50 to $4 per month.

My Patreon uses EUR as its base currency, so the underlying price will change from €2 to €3. Patreon automatically converts this into each member’s local currency, so the exact amount shown may vary depending on where you live.

Most importantly, if you’re already subscribed to Local Heroes, nothing changes. You’ll keep your current price for as long as your membership remains active.

When Local Heroes was first introduced, the map library was much smaller. Since then, it has grown into an extensive and constantly expanding collection of high-resolution static battlemaps, including gridded and gridless versions, with new releases added regularly.

I’ve also continued improving the way the collection is organized, browsed, and downloaded through dranskybattlemaps.com.

I still want Local Heroes to remain an affordable option for DMs who prefer static maps. At the same time, I’d like its price to better reflect how much the collection has grown and what the tier now offers.

Here’s the quick version:

• Current Local Heroes keep their existing price.

• New Local Heroes joining on or after September 1 will pay approximately $4 per month.

• The prices of Hero of the Realm and Champion are not changing.

If you’ve been considering joining Local Heroes, you can still join before September 1 and keep the current price for as long as your membership remains active.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the project and helped this collection grow into what it is today. There are plenty more maps still to come.

Cheers!
