April Recap - Behind the Scenes, Smarter Workflow & Talhundereth

Hey everyone!

Time for an April recap - and I guess at this point it’s becoming a tradition… because just like last year, April turned into a workflow month.

That means a lot of work happened - just not always the kind you can immediately see.

Workflow & invisible progress

I spent a big chunk of this month improving how I actually work.
I managed to automate a big part of my pipeline - especially uploading maps to the website: dranskybattlemaps.com

On top of that, I added a few extra improvements here and there to make the whole process smoother and faster.

That all genuinely saves time and removes the boring, repetitive parts of the job. More time for actual creative work = always a win.

Talhundereth & dwarven glory

That said - it wasn’t just backend work.

Thanks to your support, I was able to grab some beautiful dwarven dungeon assets, and they made a huge difference. Because of that, Talhundereth finally feels properly dwarven.

And yeah… Talhundereth was the map of this month.

It took a lot of time, but I really wanted to capture the feeling of a fallen, partially ruined temple of Dumathoin - a god of secrets and hidden riches beneath the earth.

So the idea was contrast: Rich, decorated interiors, metallic floors, gold details, intricate ornaments… but all of it worn down, dusty, cracked, partially buried in rubble.

A place that clearly used to be magnificent - and now quietly tells the story of its past glory. You can download the map from THIS post, or from the website.
