Wow, what an actual idiot I was then. So young and innocent. I had yet to realize, then, that I absolutely had to read Moby Dick and could NOT ignore the Gnostic theology of it all. I'm glad I stopped trying to avoid those two things, including them has made the video immeasurably better.
April 19th.
Ray Con were very good to me, and gave me a little breathing room. The reality is: if they hadn't done so, I straight-up would have broken the contract. This has become far too dear to me. I don't want to say it'll be my "best video ever" because the shit I've made is so varied that's sort of impossible to say? It's all about taste. It is, undoubtedly, my most-researched video ever and, as far as I can tell, a genuine addition to the discourse surrounding Blood Meridian. I think it's my smartest video ever, for what that's worth.
Someone has to have noticed what I did. But I've looked. In the video, I promise to make a sequel to "How Femboys Won the Vietnam War" IF someone can locate another instance where this connection has been noticed.
Here is the intro. The video will be around 2.5 hours long. It's as short as I could possibly make it. I hate making long videos.

It’s so interesting watching someone go through the same journey with this book as I did. When reading MD really pay attention to the whiteness of the whale chapter. It might also help to read Hans Jonas’ book on Gnosticism.

Do you have any good recommendations for books on Gnosticism?
There is a very good YT channel called „esoterica“, where a someone who was up until end of last year a professor at a university who academically taught things like that. He happens to have an introductory series on Gnosticism and it’s philosophy.
But what if we want a sequel to How Femboys won Vietnam anyway lmao? Love the content man. I know it’ll be worth the wait!
