The propeller isn't really the sensitive part. It's the shaft that is sensitive. Damage to the shaft can also damage the engine room machinery, but the shaft is much more difficult to fix than the propeller. This is because the shaft has to be perfectly straight to avoid damaging the seals and engine alignment. Repairing the shaft is depot level work. Replacing a propeller is much faster.

Perhaps NATO allies could give Zelensky some advice and convince him he needs to reinstate Fedorov. This is probably the biggest mistake he has made, to dismiss him. It could cost Ukraine the war, or at least prolong it a lot.
