Hoping for a last minute surge in votes for the plot twists. It would be much better material to work with.
Right now it's between Pokémon Live and Hallmark movie relationships. I voted for Pokémon Live and haven't changed my vote since this was first posted, but I would 100% enjoy either of them. If one truly isn't ahead by a few votes, I say that Jenny just picks the one she feels like doing more.

This isnt related to anything but I am actually really curious to hear Jenny's thoughts on Netflix docuseries "The Program". It is about the troubled teen industry, which is a really interesting thing to make a documentary about. But the actual documentary itself is framed in such an almost silly way i.e. obviously fake graffitti and anecdotal personal accounts of what happened. Idk its just an interesting thing that I think is worth dicussing
I will admit that I changed my vote. But I did it in good faith. My original vote for pokemon stage musical was genuine because I enjoy her analysis of weird productions. Upon further consideration I decided that it would be more entertaining to hear her opinions on dysfunctional made up relationships. Jenny excels at seeing the underlying mechanics in poorly thought out TV/Movie relationships.
I also changed my vote to the hallmark video. Those films are interminably dull, but it’s usually fun to watch YouTubers rip them apart.
My preferred solution: no polls, no patron-suggested topics, Jenny just does a video on whatever she’s most excited to talk about each month.

My mom watched a ton of Hallmark movies over the holidays and they were pretty tedious and bland. I’m sure the ramble will be good, but she told us not to let her down and look what we did. 😭
Just recently upgraded my membership to include polls so I don't know how this poll has gone since it was posted or if people are indeed gaming the system in some way here (the comments seem to imply there is indeed something fishy but, can't confirm). I just want the Pokemon Live one to win out of the current runners because it feels the most on brand for Jenny, because it's something extremely weird and obscure and just looking over the basic information it feels like such a wild weird fascinating thing, it seems like it would be a really fun video to make and watch both. My initial first vote, before I saw where the current tallies like, was for the Evermore novellas, and it's a shame it doesn't have a chance, though I can understand why people might want a pause from Evermore related videos since it's kind of a trilogy now and there's a lot of it. Like, I personally can't get enough of them and I keep rewatching all the others, but I get it. I just feel like there's a lot of gold to mine there with just the insane convolutedness and drama of Evermore storylines, and it's a good-ol'-fashioned bad book reading! I hope it pops up again at some point, it has potential.
I want to change my vote now that it's clearly between 2 options but that would create a tie and I dont want to look like Im gamming it! Maybe it's possible to knock off topics and end with a top 2 one vote, no changes poll?
If people can't behave then blind voting is probably the best option. It's unfortunate because it is nice to be able to vote for my preference in a close race, but if people are gaming it this obviously then clearly something has to be done.
Personally, I think that the polls should stay multi-option but blind. This is so silly. People are clearly gaming the numbers (what a weird thing to do). I don't think it's a big deal to turn that off.
Yeah, I wonder if having the votes visible also discourages people from voting for other choices as well, just choosing to vote among what is already in the lead. I think the visibility worked when the Patreon was smaller, but I think the compulsion is too strong to make the numbers match. Also, options cannot recover from being hundreds of points behind. Ranked choice voting would be a great option if Patreon had it.
Just remember that while Jenny might be forgiving, Wen Weaver is very disappointed with all of you.

I dont think you should comply with the people who try to gamify the system. You do this because this is how you want to provide a benefit. If people want to take advantage of your graces, they can get out. You did two topics because you felt pressured to, but then people took advantage of it. It would be like if someone said "jenny, make a video about this because im madly inlove with you" then everyone else does the same thing.
honestly in this scenario jenny should just choose her favorite of the top 3 contenders and go with it regardless of exact outcome lol. cant really fault her for that
think these votes need a cutoff date, was supprised to find they didn't. Hopefully that would reduce stress and potential youtuber burnout, we must protect Jenny ! Also still 3 contenders... well it's not 2 tbf
I think she talked at the start of the January ramble video about why she doesn’t want that - iirc she’s concerned about voters colluding to change votes at the last minute? The game theory some people are apparently applying to these polls sounds so intense lol.
The three-horse race is putting me in an annoying bind because none of them are my top choices but I want to help break the deadlock

As a tip: Next month you might want to put in parentheses what that even is. I had no idea so I haven't bothered. I looked it up Do you know if Jenny knows about it? I know she listens to her music, but...(Maybe she requested it in a Patreon video I haven't seen yet). Best of luck in getting your wish. You Swifties are (relatively) strong in numbers, but I'm not sure it's an advantageous topic when most of her demographic are those who love niche nerdy topics. Just my two cents. Again, you just might want to explain it more.

I'd love the Hallmark option. Those movies are such contradictions; they're so bland yet so bizarre that any character analysis on them goes off the wall immediately.
If the Sonic topic wins, Jenny should just recreate, almost word-for-word, Guptill89's "Top 10 Hottest Female Sonic Characters," but every entry in the list is Shadow.

I voted for the Hallmark video but I don't think there's a lot of material to work with there. All Hallmark relationship arcs are exactly the same -- meet cute, they hate each other, they are forced to work together, they eventually fall in love, a misunderstanding happens, and then they end up together.
