lol I can't wait for a second Video Game ramble. We can learn even more about Bubsy.
The works of the father reflected in the passions of his children.
re: the ya novel, I have vague memories of a book I read in middle school (iirc called Neptune’s children???? for some reason??) in the weirdly-its-own-subgenre of “all the adults died of a mysterious disease like overnight now kids are in charge time for lord of the flies!!” category of ya dystopia*, anyway the book took place in a theme park so it seems like it would be up her alley lol *as I recall the books I read in this subgenre weren’t even religious “oh no it’s the end of days” style, I know those also exist, my middle school library just had a lot of “ANYONE WHO REACHES PUBERTY WILL DIE OF A PANDEMIC” dystopia for some reason
I STRONGLY recommend to everyone Charles Burns' "Black Hole" a coming-of-age pandemic story graphic novel.
Didn’t Jenny already do a videogame ramble way back when? I think she already talked about her favorite games in that.
Yup, you're right. The March ramble, posted a little over three years ago on April 5th, 2017. It's entitled "Ramble #5 - Video Games"; Patreon doesn't seem to like links in comments but you can use the "month" filter up top to go back and find it. It's a pretty good one, and it's neat to revisit the origins of a progamer.
I could settle for the gaming stuff. But there is so much gaming stuff being produced in the vlog/lets play format it would seem like a missed opportunity. Also, I'd imagine Jenny would be significantly better at playing games than the average gaming personality would be at tearing apart a screenplay, but probably not nearly as good as tearing apart a screenplay herself.
Well put! No point sending a skilled mason to cut trees when there's a million expert lumberjacks available. Much better to begin work on a beautiful cathedral of Frozen hot takes; leave the forest of Let's Plays to those who've already dedicated their lives to such tasks.
I just want to know how the applejack problem was solved and the only way i can acquire that info is from jenny.
I would love Don Bluthland because of how much it would terrify me. Something about the art style in Don Bluth movies always kind of scared me as a child.
definitely thought i had a good suggestion until i saw the goose game option. you GENIUS
And that was just one of the FIVE Animal Topics in this month's Ramble Poll -- we live in a Golden Age!
How can anyone not go for the fanfic?
Going harder for that pandemic-theme mediocre YA dystopian fiction: "Kaitlyn, please." His voice was the wind. A whisper. It had been days since we'd last seen each other. The authorities had isolated us to our homes. Eric had isolated my heart. A knock on the door. "Kaitlyn Cassion? Delivery for you." Above his facemask, deep, brown eyes stared into my soul. Social distance was maintained, but the romantic barrier had been broken. Who was this mysterious hero, this provider of toilet roll in these troubling times? I had to know more.
It's not gonna happen this time, but I hope Don Bluthland gets renominated. I'm not really into theme park content but that's a clever idea.
I'll keep suggesting it until it gets done, name cousin.
Possibly the nearest to posting I’ve voted on one of these and already 1850 votes tallied in twelve hours. Maybe home votes come in faster? Looking forward to this result. Stay safe and well.
> Jenny randomly selects a bizarre fanfic/ship on wattpad and reads it to us I love that ! I miss the fanfiction readings! they are great !
I can't see the artists/bands one ever winning, but I do find that interesting, I feel like it's something we never hear about. In theory, it should be harder to make funny than some of the other subjects but then, I'm sure you will. I also feel like TV shows could be interesting - for all the films you have covered, I'm not sure we see/hear much on TV shows? (I know there has been a couple of reality shows, but I mean things you actually like!)
Are you implying that Paranormal Home Inspectors was anything other than an absolute delight? Oh and just fyi to all you Brian stans out there, the show's on Netflix now.
Frozen 3; the one with the climate change talk via Elsa's ice powers waning
I unchecked so many boxes when I saw "Jenny randomly selects a bizarre fanfic/ship on wattpad and reads it to us"
Every month I will vote for bugs and immediately be disappointed to see how many votes it got
I added a vote for bugs in solidarity ✊ but that does mean my three votes have now gone to the current third-last, second-last & dead-last, so whether I'm helping at all seems a little unclear 🕷🐛🦋🐌🐞🐜🦟🦗
Come on y'all let's get that much needed Frozen content
The original suggestion was "Frozen 2: Communist Boogaloo; Queen Elsa the Ice Tyrant vs Comrade Anna and The Working People's Party of Arendelle".
I always kind of wanted your perspective on being an OG MLP fan and what it was like when it generated a fanbase during G4. The positives and negatives of the fanbase, how it seemingly affected the franchise, your overall feelings on the G4 merchandise and quality of the series, etc.
Jenny if you need a Wattpad fic to read, my friend just sent me some of her/her friends most horrendous finds, including a kidnapped by Demi Lovato one that has three sequels akdhakaj
