i'd like to say that him having a random man kidnapped in waterloo should have been a point

I just want to point out that, despite the...everything you mentioned, this film is not only the highest-rated Bourne film on Rotten Tomatoes, but also won three Oscars, including best editing. Seriously.

I'm not one to generally make recommendations, but I'm currently watching Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman, and its actually good, and Bond-adjacent. It has a lot of scenes i think you all would like, including one of the best henchman scenes in batman. Could be a nice break from the Bourne series?

Man these Bourne films have just gotten worse and worse. Hope after this you do something actually bearable for you all like The Night Manager

Ahhh all those months ago, when Milo got his catalytic converter stolen, I had completely forgotten to comment the clattering chassis of this once great nation.

unfortunately the girth section has been chimped i think the drop about the tech gibberish around 28 minutes in is the dude noises as a counterpart to the girl noises from OHMSS

I'm surprised you're turning down the audience chanting "girth girth girth" at you

I enjoy this movie still, despite how fucking lib it is, you don't get much better than lib from big films alas. I was confused by the discussion that mentioning Noah Vosum saying 'you'ev seen the data' was an act of justification. Like he's evil, he chats shit through the entire movie? I must say I remain puzzled by how you find most of the action hard to follow its very well put together. Also the intelligence babble is amusing to me, it feels like the kind of shit intelligence agencies would actually be very self serious about irl saying 'the asset is compromised' instead of 'fuck our guy is dead' and shit. Anyhow, so end the (imo) 3 good bourne movies, its been enjoyable to see you cover them, and I look forward to whatever you do next!

Just occured to me and if i dont type it out now i never will, what about a review of Teen-Bourne? Aka the 2011 film 'Hanna'

S
Stuart Clark · April 27, 2022

Seeing the contrast between 2007 Guardian and now Guardian really is something. Imagine that in a contemporary film. "Sir, they have leaked the documents to The Guardian!" "Who? I need a name" "Jesus Christ, it`s Adrian Chiles!"

N

Pre- and post-Snowden Guardian is such a striking change for the worse

This one didn't just jump the shark it sailed the whale. I loved that you all got so mad about it you completely dispensed with any kind of intro and got right into it. It's a complete mess of a film.

c

For some cursed Australian content, please watch The Man From Snowy River. Dogshit film about how cis males need 2 years lived experience to be recognised as a man

Honestly I wouldn't be Surprised if there was a CIA black site in the middle of an American City. The Chicago Police Department, one of the most cartoonishly inept organizations in the US ran a blacksite on Kimball/Homan in the middle of the city for decades

so glad that Alice mentioned Dead Man's Shoes. perfect film for AMAB. badly marketed as a cheap torture porn/revenge film but it's so much more interesting than that. beautiful showcase for Paddy Considine as an actor as well

s
spazzrights · April 27, 2022

When I was a kid, I watched this movie and thought it was cool, but as pointed out in the episode, never took away from it the meaning of the word “Ultimatum.” I just thought it was cool, so I would so I would name things like stories or characters or minecraft skins ultimatum like this movie.

O
OvO Hoot · April 26, 2022

They should do the first one at least. It's an incredibly on-the-nose male power fantasy and fits right into their MO. The second and third one are sci-fi films set in the assassin dimension. Alice already has the perfect tweets to review them. https://twitter.com/AliceAvizandum/status/1231723295134900224
