"He might be a fruitcake" reminded me of an episode of Trillbilly Workers Party where Tom says that Tarence gave him permission to say "fruitcake" and Tarence says yeah, Tom is allowed to say mildly homophobic things. Tom clarifies that he was using fruitcake to mean mentally ill. Which was a revealing moment for Tarence and makes me wonder which one Walter Matthau meant when he heard an English accent

My request for a future film would be Charley Varrick, a great crime movie also starring Walter Matthau - this time playing a similar character to Mr. Blue. It’s a great Southern neo-noir.
