S4E31.5: The Assignment
Whenever, in the course of daily life, an emergency occurs, you naturally call the most appropriate emergency service. If there's a fire, call the fire brigade. A medical emergency requires EMS, a bomb calls for the bomb squad. But who do you call, exactly, when you have a total box office flop about a hitman being forcibly transitioned into Michelle Rodriguez as punishment by Sigourney Weaver?
You call us. We'll handle it.

"Giving a cis boy gender dysphoria for the bit" is just my experience of listening to this show.
Lmao at the contrapoints shade
@48:40 is literally me in 2016 🤣
Am I the only one who *liked* the comic book panels in the director's cut of The Warriors?
In a way it functions as a synecdoche for the issues with the entire production the fact that (knowing what I do about Hollywood and screenwriting in 1970s) I can say I'm 100 percent certain the raison d'être for the script in general and Frank Kitchen's name in particular was a get back in the kitchen joke they cut from the 2016 film for understandable reasons
Hell fucking yeah Wages of Fear
It's odd to me that they wouldn't just pitch her voice down like in Escape From LA
I tried to get Akinator to guess Frank Kitchen, it gets stuck on the gender of Frank. Asking is the character male, female, an adult woman, does the character wear a bra. Between my girlfriend and I we account for the majority of the times Frank Kitchen has been attempted in Akinator
Puppy girl on so much zinc we call her Tannerite
Down at the soup kitchen and everyone's serving
You've chosen to watch a movie that has 'drop this and run' printed on the case like it's a cobalt rod
This is one of those bonus episodes that I absolutely have to listen to as soon as possible, so here I am: Looking forward to enjoying the plentiful bounty of past, present and future bonus episodes for an entire month! (Funds that could've been spent on an ongong KJB!-subscription are in dire need elsewhere).
... Ok, so, somewhere less than halfway into the episode, it suddenly clicked that I had mistaken "The Assignment" (2016) for the Nicholas Brooks film "Sam" (2017). (And I somehow managed to keep up the confusion until some time AFTER you had specifically referenced "Sam"!). Well, that certainly explains the lack of any mention of Nicky Brooks so far in this episode. On the plus side: more previously-unlistened-to bonus entertainment for me. Huzzah!
I'm now dissappointed the podcast didn't do the Ellen Barkin film 'Switch' during 'Religion season' - I mean the main character is forcefemmed by GOD! I do concede it might have been a bit too close to 'Sam' though.
Puppy girl named tannerite blew my shit clean off. Making me really reconsider my name choice
heartbroken that you missed the “i could dilate you from stuttgart and still have the proper effect” joke
someone please tell me what preparing "hundosing"(?) is
a "hon" is a word 4chan uses for trans people who dont pass, hondosing is getting a really low dosage of hrt which would lead to effects of transition being weaker (making one a "hon")
i love jacob geller and his work but when i saw the tiny episode thumbnail i thought it was him 💀💀💀 in my defense he's got beautiful full lips
Boymode Michelle Rodriguez looks like Jim Hawkins from Treasure Planet x Jacob Geller I will not be taking questions.
Waking up after the surgery and relentlessly hunting Sigourney Weaver down to give her a big kiss.
Love that Sigourney's plan for revenge against this guy who killed her brother is to give her their best, most flawless work, leave an audio log explaining how to look after herself, a new wardrobe and two weeks rent. If this is what she does to her enemies, I'd love to know what she does for her friends
"You are cursed to be Michelle Rodriguez!" "Oh nooooo"
I did not expect this episode to end with an excuse to rewatch my favorite movie for a second time in the first month of 2026

Oh hey, I once again get to chime in as a transgender transformation erotica writer! Can confirm, it really seems like this script started out as something along the lines of Sam, but got watered down a bit by passing through the studio process. I bet the original is eggy as hell, and I'd love to know if it included more detail for that sex scene. Also, both the writer and the hosts should be forgiven for the pronoun weirdness. Deciding if/when to swap pronouns is actually the most difficult part of writing a force-fem story. The second most difficult is coming up with an excuse for why they can't just start transitioning back. The oldness of the script could also explain the doctor's pessimistic estimate of 6 months to a year for sensation to come back. One of the questions I was asked at the 6-week post-pussy checkup was if I'd had an orgasm yet. Given the absurd surgical skill on display, it should have been easy to get off.
Autocinephile
I chose to visualize the motionless dog as a german shepard jpg
The fact that a year after this released part of the Tenderloin become the first recognized transgender district in the world is extremely funny. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Transgender_District
Now do Predestination.
I watched this about a year ago and believe me I'm very much planning to unleash it on the girls
This movie missed it's chance to feature the first onscreen puppygirl fighting ring.
On the topic of Devon watching this under a different name, as an Australian I only know this film as REVENGER, I was confused when y'all were describing REVENGER but calling it something else
I unironically like Walter Hill as a director. 48 Hrs, Southern Comfort, The Warriors (obviously), Extreme Prejudice and Last Man Standing are all very solid action flicks. Feels like he was always trying to be an 80s Peckinpah, maybe he's not that good, but definitely capable. Did the first episode of Deadwood too. That being said I have no idea what in the Church of Sainted Fuck was going on here.
We aren't ALL trans. I'm pretty euphoric with my assigned at birth *gestures vaguely* stuff. But not uncritically so. It's a thing i have thought long and deep about.
don't worry Abi, as someone who hasn't seen Michelle Rodriguez before, I can concur that this is the clockiest mf on the planet
ALL TOMORROWS MENTIONED
Ffs, not me getting emotionally devestating bottom dysphoria realizations from listening to the "The Assignment" episode at the gym. orz
There are two genders: the assignment and the skin I live in
when they didn't write the line "you've been a bad man Frank; now you can become a better woman" I knew these guys were unserious
Every force fem fic of this nature starts with “btw, I’ve always been short and also have long hair for unrelated reasons”, and Michelle Rodriquez is absolutely the perfect casting for that.
Oh dear, I watched the film and actually didn't mind it at all, but the moment I start the episode I find out I am a freak with terrible taste. XD EDIT: Seems like the main point of difference is that when The Surgery was ludicrously simple with no scars, marks, or serious recuperation, I just went "Right, Face/Off magical surgery done by Sigourney Weaver Hannibal Lecter, got it" and didn't think about it beyond that.
Also I was so on board with the idea that Johnnie was trans that when Frank asked her "How do you know the Doctor" I said out loud "How do you THINK she knows the Doctor, dumbass?!"
For some reason the film draws out the reveal that sigourney weaver does gender surgery, so for like the first half hour they're saying she performs "deviant surgeries"
Pitch: TRANS HELSING Synopsis: in the middle of a worldwide vampire outbreak, history's greatest vampire killer gets hit by a train and rushed to a hospital, where a shocking mix-up occurs. "I'm terribly sorry to break this to you, but due to a draconian typing error, we accidentally gave you the quasi-magical surgery that makes you a smoking-hot cis woman. In the time that you've been unconscious, the hospital has already negotiated a settlement with your lawyers, your family has replaced your entire wardrobe, and we've gone door-to-door to explain to everyone who knows you that this was our fault and not something you chose for yourself." "Oh … no, that's just awful! I guess I'll learn to cope with this terrible circumstance that I definitely haven't been praying for since childhood, as long as I can still hunt vampires." "Due to an entirely separate draconian typing error, I'm afraid your special vampire-hunting van has been 'cramped.'" (Dolly up from Trans Helsing screaming "NOOOOO!" over a crushed metal cube)
Yoooo Wages of Fear! Please also cover Sorcerer as well
GENDER CHANGE OPERATION
Listening to this whilst recovering from my affirming surgery and I couldn't even stand the fuck up for three days let alone fight the mob and Signourney Weaver.
If I got the Michelle rodiquezification surgery I'd fight the mob no issue.
This is legitimately interesting to me though because I wasn't out to myself when they did Sam. Not that I'm fem or was really in that much denial I was just subconsciously mulling over the idea of coming out as non-binary and I'm still fairly boy-mode but it's interesting to revisit the issue having flipped that switch in my head.
Speaking of forced feminization my asshole transphobic brother was trying to get his wife to keep breastfeeding longer than she was comfortable with I said something along the lines of "medical science has made great strides in this area if you want to be the one to breastfeed"
If y'all want to do a bonus pick that isn't rooted in Mutually Assured Spite and to dip back into Religion season, may I suggest: The Monk And The Gun (2025). Not only is it pretty fun, but also it's got critiques of western cultural hegemony, plot-relevant references to James Bond, and a giant wooden cock, so it's basically KJB catnip
No haha no don't give me all the surgeries for free nooo
My jaw literally dropped when you revealed the date this script was written.
The Japanese cover/poster for this movie just has ‘LADY GUY’ in full caps along the bottom. https://m.imdb.com/title/tt5034474/mediaviewer/rm2798560001/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk
Judging by that poster, that's the name the movie was released under in Japan. Poster also contains such promotional text as "even after being turned into a woman, she's still got balls!" and "find that mad doctor and take back the 'thing' you lost!"
“I would like to talk about pubic hair” -November 2026
Is there any media about a person being force-femmed where they experience dysphoria after the transition? As in they don't want to have gender reassignment, they're cis, and are now being made to experience what it's like being a regular trans person? Most of these stories are fantasies made by trans people who want to imagine transitioning, or are weird disconnected stories like this one where the original writer clearly was just thinking "what if a dude became a chick?" But I've never heard of a story where the character is force-femmed and explicitly doesn't like it and is having a bad time, and is experiencing what it's like being in the wrong body in a viceral, real way. Now that I think about it, it's mostly just porn.
https://m.imdb.com/title/tt1189073/
This looks like the serious version of “white chicks”, which in itself felt like an olden curse you would lay upon someone who committed infidelity or ignored the chore wheel.
Flash banged by the album art looking like one of my friends pretransition photos
I actually watched ahead because I thought the movie sounded interesting. Turns out I couldn't be more wrong.
Omg the beard in the thumbnail is so heinous
Oh jeez, here we go
Nooo don't forcefem me Sigourney Weaver nooooo I'd haaaate that
Well you've just got to kill her brother, but I'm not sure how many she has. All the tickets may have already been sold, so to speak.
