my partner and I have been on a Project Runway kick, and we recently started S4 (iconically the season Christian Siriano won, sorry spoilers for 2007). In episode 5 (very unfortunately titled ‘What’s the Skinny?’), the contestants are given their ‘client challenge’. The episode starts with Heidi Klum introducing them to a group of women wearing clothes that are too big to fit them. She then reveals that “these women recently underwent a big life change, they’ve all lost a significant amount of weight.” She explains that the clothing they’re wearing were their “favorite outfits from before their transformation.” The way I audibly groaned. The challenge is revealed - they’re to remake these ladies’ favorite outfits to fit their ‘new bodies.’ The whole thing absolutely reeked of 2007 diet culture thinness =virtue baloney. Anyway, love the show so much thanks for everything you do!!

A nice old lady embroiders the name of the rejected woman in real time! They STICK THEIR HANDS INTO COWS AND THE WOMAN WHOSE COW IS NOT PREGNANT GOES HOME!!!)

the only REALLY bad reality TV shows I watch are Hoarders & Ghost Adventures (I watch a few of these ghost shows, but this one is particularly bad, because the main character/actor claims to believe in ghosts but is total fucking dickhead to them constantly). I don't have any specific episodes to recommend because I couldn't stand Zak Bagans long enough to watch many episodes. Honestly though, I'd be interested in torturing Mike with any ghost hunting show, all the ones I've seen are profoundly unconvincing, but Zak Bagans really is an infuriating asshole (or the version of himself he plays on his show is anyway).

My recommendation would be Survivor, specifically the South Pacific season. Not to spoil too much about it, but it includes being weirdly mean to a neurotic dork, a protracted discussion about oral herpes, and a cult like alliance that ends up being a jumping off point for the editors making a big, season long thematic statement in a way they hadn’t before and probably won’t again.

And then season 3, episode 3 is my where my favorite groom is featured) I hope it’s ok I used the language of the show title itself, I didn’t want to mislead anyone but also don’t want to be derogatory. Real housewives of New York is top tier! Highly recommend, season 7 ep 10-16 is a fun place to start If you want a FUN, competitive reality show, then there’s Dragula (all season on shudder) you won’t regret watching the hunt for the next drag super monster. It’s not one to dump on, just oozing reality tv core — and it’s a fast watch Last one Another light hearted reality tv show… pig royalty It’s like a chiller version of dance moms, but it’s Texas pig showing competitions. Nugget is killing the pig showing game!

Pressed enter too soon! If the objective is primarily to annoy Mike, Traitors US Season 3 is peak reality TV messiness and would be a fun Avengers-style way to force Mike to experience stars from different franchises, everything from the Housewives to Survivor.

Traitors UK Season 1 is genuinely one of the best, most interesting seasons of television I have seen in a while and I think Mike will be driven crazy by the theatrics.
