There are chapters that merely advance a story, and then there are chapters that remind you why you endured the slower ones. This was the latter. The prose had restraint, the character work had weight, and the pacing possessed that rare confidence that allows a scene to breathe without ever becoming indulgent. Nothing felt hurried, yet nothing lingered past its purpose. The result was a chapter that felt deliberate rather than assembled. More importantly, it had presence. I was not simply reading events as they occurred; I was being carried through them. The Wandering Inn is at its best when its scale and its intimacy coexist, when spectacle does not smother character and character does not stall momentum. This chapter understood that balance beautifully. One of my favorites by a considerable margin.
Goes to show why the [Necromancer] class is feared, and how easy it is to cross the line of no return. Pieces sees the line and fears crossing it (level 50 bottleneck), but fears he must. The words Erin keeps saying to him, and that he repeats to himself keep him in check. What seems to be the norm of this volume is “ANCHORS” and how important they are once they cross their line into level 50. He really needs an Erin moment where she adjusts his viewpoint back to the team first, and then the world next. (She Pavilion’s him despite the risk)

What are the chances of teeny tiny little Toren interlude at the end of the Pisces arc and before the next arc/chapter? I mean… I really wanna know what the skeleton with slime breasts is doing!!
I'm loving this whole arc. Pisces is quickly becoming one of my all time favourite fantasy characters.
