Development Update 7

We are getting close!

I should clarify that. We are getting close to the first half of Episode 2. I mentioned it in my last dev update. The next release will be about 8,200 words long. It will include over 150 images, and I will personally remove any sandbox element from the game.

It only took 20 complaints saying that the game is amazing, but the point-and-click part at the beginning was annoying. Yeah, okay. I get it. I'll try to convey the message I wanted to send with that part differently.

There is also exciting news. I'll be unofficially announcing two things I'm working on that may or may not be released in the near or distant future.

I want to create a game where you have to do a jigsaw puzzle of a spicy image, and when you are finished, you can watch an entire scene about what's displayed in the picture. The thing that makes it interesting is that this new puzzle game of mine will function as a prologue for "A Foreign World." That means the jigsaw puzzles will feature things that happened in the world Tracy and the others are from. There will be some preview images and a short proof of concept version soon.

The second thing I'm working on is a novel. This one is an SFW novel. It also plays in the same universe as "A Foreign World." It's about a boy attending an all-female magical high school. Basically, the plot of an anime. The plan is to set up a website/blog and infrequently post a few chapters. Maybe I'll turn it into an actual book eventually.

For everyone worried that I'm spreading myself too wide with all these projects, I can tell you that it's not as bad as it sounds. I have a priority list. My first priority is "A Foreign World," the second priority is to create this puzzle game I mentioned (where I don't have to do much, but that's a different story), and if there is any time left, then I'll go ahead and write some lines for that novel of mine.

Sounds good?

Nice castle. This render will be part of the puzzle game. I did it earlier this morning. I think it looks pretty good, and I didn't want to keep it from you. It's a nice contrast to the image that actually accompanies this post. The old castle and the new computer.

I don't have much to say about either image other than I think they came out quite decent. I hope you can enjoy them as much as I do.

Keep your eyes open for future content.

Until then, Enjoy!
