Development Update 6

I'm back to rendering! Usually, after a release, I need to start writing the next episode, and then I have to procrastinate for a day to have a new image for my Dev Update post.

Not today! The script is not done, but I'm about 90% in. I think that's good enough to start rendering. The next release is going to be something small for Patreons. With that, I mean, it's not a full episode but half an episode. Seven thousand words, 200 images, and one or two animations. The kind of size that I usually go for.

That means I can probably give you something new within the month.

The Pilot Episode has been very well received. Much better than Playing With Fire was.

Someone even did a Spanish translation for it. I installed it to see how things work, and it looks very professional. He even replaced the menu buttons.

I don't speak Spanish, but I've been in contact with moskyx, the one who did it, and it's probably a very decent translation. He does translations for some of the big names in the industry. If you prefer to play games in Spanish, check out his work.

Now, let's move on and take a look at the image that comes along with this post. I did some minor postwork for this baby while writing this paragraph. It's fresh out of my render cue. At first, I was afraid I couldn't get the lighting right and had to save things with gimp, but then I added a rim light and the main light, and things look awesome.

For the fun of it, I'll be rending out the same image but without those lights, and I'll add it to the post. That way, you can see what I mean (I tried to do the same postwork for both of them).

I've rendered 20 images for the next release. That's not a lot, but I only started yesterday, so things are progressing at a pace that is to be expected.

Keep your eyes open for future releases.

Until then, Enjoy!

Love that you share how you improved the image. I can't do what you artists do but I am impressed.
