Steam
As it stands now, it's very unlikely for Playing With Fire ever to make it to Steam. I think that's sad since I would have loved to see how it would do when presented to a mainstream audience.
Just so it's stated openly, I handed in a Build, and when they looked at it, they decided to ban the game outright, saying I'm dancing around grey areas. They also told me that I'm not allowed to hand in a changed-up version of the game in the future.
Right now, I'm trying to reach them through a support ticket, asking if it's alright to rewrite the story, so it's a bunch of 23-year-olds going to college, but I don't think they'll allow that, either. Honestly, it took me one and a half years to create this game. It would only take me another week to rewrite the story in a way that it's unmistakably clear that there is no spicy stuff going on between minors.
It's a full-on Visualnovel with 100.000 words, 1.500 images, 130 animations, and about 10 hours of playtime.
I will keep you updated on what's happening with that. For now, I have to deal with the fact that my plans for releasing the next version no longer work. I would have loved for the final version of Playing With Fire to be exclusive to Steam for a week, but now, that's not going to happen.
This means that Playing With Fire v1.0.4 will go into its early access Phase quite soon here on Patreon and over at Itch.
There is really only one bug I try to work out. Other than that, I think the game is pretty much finished. And the bug isn't anything too significant. It only happens when you rename a character during a playthrough while he is saying something. When you do, the text bubble doesn't change the name, and you have to click to the next text bubble actually to see the change.
Besides that, I can already start to hype you up for this upcoming release. It will end the story from Steve's perspective with a bang. It includes over 10.000 words and 200 images, so it's not my biggest update, but maybe it's the most visually beautiful. Some of the scenes look amazing.
Any specifics will be described in the release post, so keep your eyes open.
And until then, Enjoy!
