Mythos Interview - Lisa!
Jessica Lee: Good evening, Baltimore! Thanks for tuning in. Our guest tonight is our final interview of characters in the upcoming game “Mythos.”
Lisa Harrison: If you even count me as a character.
JL: Oh, we certainly do! You’ve emerged as a bit of a fan favourite, actually.
LH: Because people want what they can’t have, I guess?
JL: That… may be part of it. Why don’t you tell us a bit about your character in the game, for the viewers at home who may not be familiar.
LH: I’m a corpse.
JL: …
LH: …
JL: So… could you elaborate on that a bit?
LH: (Sighs) I was Ky’s girlfriend several years before the start of the game. We broke up relatively amicably, going on to live our lives separately. Ky finds out I died, wants to know why I died, so they go looking into my death.
JL: So you’re the entire reason the game exists! I’d say that makes you a pretty important character in the story.
LH: Except for that whole “being dead” thing, yeah. My presence is influential enough, but my screen time is obviously lacking.
JL: Well, there are plenty of fan theories on you somehow being more than that; a zombie? Vampire?
LH: No, no, no. Other than some flashback sequences and stuff like that, I have no body. Hell, Teri said she’s going to re-write the script to say I was cremated just to make real sure I’m not much in the game. I think she hates me.
JL: I highly doubt that. Teri… Teri is a glorious and caring and wonderful person who’d never treat any of her characters that way… (looks nervously toward the camera)
LH: Right. Hey, remember that whole thing about me being murdered?
JL: Um, yes… so I take it you have some connections to characters other than Ky, correct?
LH: Yes.
JL: … such as…?
LH: All of them, I think.
JL: (Surprised) You’re saying you have a connection with every other member of the cast?
LH: Not every member, but the main ones, yeah.
JL: That’s quite a revelation! None of the other characters have been connected so well.
LH: Benefits of being the murder victim, I guess. They wouldn’t be important parts of the investigation if they weren’t connected to me in some way, right?
JL: So it seems that you’re a little unhappy with your role in the story.
LH: Wow, you picked up on that, huh?
JL: (Cringes)
LH: Yeah, I’m pretty pissed, honestly. There’s all these complex scenes with the other girls, romance paths, subplots.. not to mention that most of them are some kind of supernatural!
JL: (Laughing loudly, trying to stop Lisa) Hah, hey now… let’s not give out spoilers before the release, right?
LH: (Looking right at the camera) Oh, sorry. Spoiler alert – there’s non-humans in a game called Mythos. Shocking, right?
JL: So do you have anything to say about your relationships with the other girls?
LH: Well… if I need to avoid spoilers, there’s naturally a lot I can’t say. I got along with some, didn’t get along with others.
JL: Are any of them linked to your death?
LH: … what, do you think I’m stupid? If I give away the ending, Teri would make me even more dead than I am now! Somehow!
JL: So, it seems pretty established by what you and some of the others said - you were killed, correct?
LH: Yes. I was killed. Murdered. Made into a dead thing. Bereft of life, I rest in peace. Do I have to go through the whole Dead Parrot Sketch with you?
JL: Well, no-
LH: I didn't die naturally. That'd make for one boring murder mystery, wouldn't it? "Oh, Lisa had a heart attack. Game over."
JL: (Frustrated) So is your character in the game, prior to her death, a nice person?
LH: (Raising an eyebrow) Whatcha tryin' to say, Jessica?
JL: Just trying to get more information about what you were like in life! That's all!
LH: (Sigh) Look, I know I'm being kinda bitchy about it, but it's frustrating to be the victim. It's like being picked to play the tree in a school play. Yeah, I'm there, but I don't feel like I contribute any. When I was alive, yeah - I was nice. That's how Ky and I even managed to split on good terms. I knew my life was taking a different path and I knew that it's not one Ky could be with me on.
JL: Was Ky against some decision you'd made in your life?
LH: Ky... never actually knew what that decision was. I sat them down to have a talk, and let them know that we were just... going in different directions, without giving specifics. It wasn't a happy talk, but we came to an understanding. I never told Ky that I'd j--
