New Feature: Content Filters (More Control, Less Surprise)

I’ve added content filtering to https://playphrase.me

You can now control:

• Explicit nudity — hidden by default
• Offensive language — optional (off by default)

This is part of a larger content rating system I’m building — including versions suitable for school use and younger learners (like 13+), where content needs to be more carefully controlled.

To make this work, I ran additional AI analysis across videos to detect potentially sensitive scenes. This helps make the platform safer and more appropriate for educational use.

At the same time, nothing is forced:

• Want a cleaner experience? → it’s already on

• Prefer original, unfiltered content? → you can turn it off

• Okay with strong language? → your choice

Also, a quick disclaimer: this system is powered by AI, and AI can make mistakes.

If you ever see something that clearly shouldn’t be there (for example, NSFW content slipping through, or something being incorrectly hidden), please send me a link — it really helps improve the system.

One more detail: in 17+ mode, content includes movies with an R rating, so stronger material can still appear there by design. In lower-rated modes, this is much more strictly limited.

The goal is simple — give you control, while keeping the experience appropriate for different contexts, including schools.
