Some insights of the upcoming Pure LCS summer update
In summer there will be a big update of Pure LCS.
I will introduce raymarching clouds with this update. With this cloud render method it is also possible to create local weather transitions. So the coming weather will roll over the track in the wind direction. Then it is possible to still be in nice weather, but you see a heavy thunderstorm with lightnings in the distance, coming towards you. And on big tracks it will be possible to drive in and out of those 2 weather of the transition.
There is no estimated release date. The update will come approximately in July 2026.

Hi everyone, I don't know about you, but Pure has been looking great for a long time. Every time there's an update, I don't really see anything extraordinary—with all due respect to Peter for his great works—aside from a bunch of bugs that take forever to fix. And once things are finally stable, you barely have time to enjoy it before a new version comes out with even more bugs.

Peter Pure LCS looks really, really good, but I've run into a problem: for a few seconds the screen goes black right on a curve when I'm turning, and I don't know how to fix it. If I switch to Pure Gamma, it doesn't happen, but the graphics are much better and less dark with Pure LCS. What can I do to fix it? I really want to use Pure LCS. Thanks a lot.
I guess you activated the tunnel effect in Pure PP Spice tab and exaggerated the “hit” slider too much.

Hi Peter, really looking forward to this update,can't get my head around how you can link the weather patterns together in this way but it sounds amazing. I think the current transitions are pretty good but the idea of distant weather coming in is really going to add something! I also have a question about the rubbered wet lines that pop up when rain is building up on the track. No matter what I try, these rubbered lines seem to pop in and out quite harshly, is there a way to adjust the alpha levels of these anywhere else?

You must use 7zip app and you must use the "Extract" button to extract the 4 folders to your used AC root folder. Also check your used AC root folder in CM - settings - Content Manager - general!

hai can u fix the issue with ac car reflection cause its not consistent especially with different popular car packs or mods
What should i fix there? Esp. if this is not consistent across different mods. They then use different shader values, and are not based on the Kunos standard values. So at the end this is a rabbit hole and mostly related to the people who are doing mods. Some mods are made for older CSP versions in mind and some mods are no more updated. If you have other issues, just use the community chat and post some screenshots...

If you are subscribed, you have access to download Pure. There is no subscription needed to run it on your PC. But you also support me doing community work if you are further subscribed...

Is anyone having problems with the rain fx not working? i had to download again now it works but i can't change the weather?
in online sessions you can't change rain, date or time! If you have a preview version of CSP, better install it manually: Delete the dwrite.dll in AC root folder. Open the CSP preview zip file and EXTRACT the "dwrite.dll" and the "extension" folder to your AC root folder (Steam install folder of AC "common\assettocorsa"). If you still have problems, please use the community chat

My account on patreon is linked with my discord, but I have yet to receive a patreon supporter role in the discord. I'm hoping to get some clarity on whether or not I need to reload the mods at the start of each race or if there is a way to eliminate this process. Thank you for any help you might give.
Additional clarification: When I load into a race, everything is very dark and this can only be corrected by opening the mod and clicking a preset.

Hi Peter, I'm experiencing a visual glitch with Pure LCS (v3.21) on Assetto Corsa. Sometimes, when starting a replay, the image turns completely black and white or has extreme exposure issues (all white or all black). If I 'Reset to Defaults' in the Pure Config while the replay is running, the colors return to normal instantly. It seems like a startup script/initialization conflict during replay loading. Any idea if this is a known bug or if a fix is coming in the next update? Thanks!
Please use the community chat or even better the Pure Discord Server. There you can add screenshots. Please make a screenshot of the ingame Lua Debug app and please also show the Pure Condif Main tab and Pure PP app Script tap. Link your Discord account in Patreon settings - More - Connected apps. You will be automatically linked with Pure Discord Server and get a role to view the Pure channels.
For some reason, textures have been looking fuzzy, have tried everything in csp settings, any idea of how I can fix? Tried changing a lot of settings, including all antialiasing in csp settings and extra fx

You always need a CSP preview version for RainFX! Please notice the rain disclaimer in the bottom of the Pure development update posts.
Are these going to look nicer than the 2D Skydomes? Those are so good looking they'd be hard to beat.
No, those raymarching clouds can’t have the details of cloud photos like the skydomes. But raymarching clouds have many other advantages. They are really 3d, so they can move like real clouds, they can produce exact cloud shadows, weather can locally change, you can drive in and out of different weather, rain can be dependent of a real cloud coverage, lightnings are illuminating the real clouds. So they are more simple looking then, but they are much more connected to the actual scene and the actual scene is much more influenced by the clouds and the weather.

The raymarchin clouds are only for LCS with the Summer release. I don't know if i can integrate them into Gamma. If so, i will release the raymarching clouds later the year for Gamma...
so sol barely works and you guys gatekeep pure with a 1 dollar subscription, your lucky its worth it but this stuff is hard enough for the average person to get sol working and all these weird mods, then when the average person comes here and sees you have to pay for the working filter it completely ruins the experience, and that's why its such a niche group on theses games, i still like it, respect it and I'm still probably gonna pay for it, but it has been an uphill battle trying to get anything to work in this game, idk but every you tube video i watch is outdated by 2 years
Sol works, you just need to read the hints that it is no more working with CSP 0.2.10 to 0.2.12p1!!! So if you want to use Sol you need to downgrade CSP to 0.2.9 or you have to use the latest previews! Also Pure is easy to install you just need to follow my install video! There are hundreds of thousands people having Sol and Pure installed properly and playing with it, because they are working! If you have a problem with it because you did not install it properly, you can ask for help. But please don’t judge it because it doesn’t run on your side! If you follow my official install video you could install everything in 5 min and it will work!

Hi Peter, My wipers don't work when I am using the Pure controller but they work with the Sol controller, any ideas?
Deactivate all Sol apps in CM - settings - AC - python apps. Pure has no own wiper control to NOT compromise the CSP wiper control. So the Sol apps blocking the native CSP wiper control!
Hi Peter, will this still be a 2D skybox or 3D rendered clouds? If it's latter I guess there will be a decrease in performance?
With the next update you have 3 cloud render methods then. The 3d billboard clouds, skydome textures and the new raymarching clouds. You can decide yourself what you like and what you can run on your PC. Sure the raymarching clouds have a higher impact on the GPU, but you can select different resolutions and quality options.

After updating to CSP0.30-361, the time stopped progressing on servers with time-based changes. The problem disappears when reverting to CSP0.30-342. Is this a problem with `pure`? CSP0.30-361にアップデートした後、時間変化のあるサーバーで、時間が止まったままです。CSP0.30-342に戻すと問題は解消されます。これは`pure`の問題でしょうか？

Just asking a question i love that game but everytime I get mods installed my internet crashes then I gotta call France to unlock again because of bad mod files that's every site I had got them from . Now question is if u paid with you guys here . The 2real here and few others will that happen again on viruses feeding in my pc . ??.. Just inbox all the details on how yall working everything on the monthly paid stuff and on I'll look at it here later and start buying few things
Sorry i don't know what you mean! If you download somethign here on my Patreon, use the mega link, you will get a 3.5GB zip which i virus checked. Before you open it, you can do this too. And maybe get a serious AntiVir suite. The Microsoft built in tools are not really useful. If you use the Mediafire link, just read the hint i provide below the link. So you don't download some other stuff.

It doesn't matter what you use. The weather transitions are the same, but with the raymarching clouds the weather transition is additionally local. There is no change in the weather transition system.

Sorry, what's the difference between LCS and Gamma?
LCS gives more true to life natural lighting and weather renders if i understand it correctly
Are you only developing for LCS now? I still prefer Gamma but if it will not see new features then I will make the switch.
Maybe later, but LCS is so much better in terms of performance, lighting and overall feature integration that it will be hard to integrate those raymarching clouds in Pure Gamma. Those clouds have their pieces in many modules of Pure LCS like the sunblinding shader. In AC/CSP you need to trick a lot to get things working and the quality of those tricks is much higher in Pure LCS and some parts are not possible in Pure Gamma...
