More about Monsterdale in the fantasy save file
Original EA world: Copperdale
Most other worlds are finished and available already as a save to add to your save file folder in your Sims 4 game folders. Unfortunately, Monsterdale was not included in the original file and you will have to add it yourself if you started playing before April 2023.
When we first started the fantasy save file, we ran it as monthly build and tour challenges on the gallery. Every world / neighbourhood would get its own livestream tour once a month. And anyone was invited to join in! Literally, you just had to upload your creation to the gallery with the appropriate hashtag. In that spirit, I wish to let everyone know that the hashtags for the save file remain "open": continue to add to them and feel free to always put your own spin on it or just share resources with each other.
Hashtags for Monsterdale: #Monsterdale #MonsterdaleHighSchool #MonsterHigh and #Monsterball (a previous halloween challenge we ran that has appropriate sims you might want to use). You can search these hashtags (and download the creations), but you can also upload your own creations to the gallery if you are using it or feel that it fits well.
Build style: Gothic Kawaii, Pastel goth, shabbychic, fixeruppers or even post-apocolyptic
CAS style: Monster High inspired. Of course some want to replicate their favourite characters from the show, but I highly recommend creating your own characters, it's a lot of fun. Pastel goth, gothic kawaii is a serious theme here too!
Lore: A once human settlement, a mysterious spore (motherplant?) pandemic wiped out most of the population. Those who survived awoke in monstrous form, forever changed. Many adults survived only in ghost form. Over time, many monsters from the different worlds flocked here as a safe haven to raise their children and give them a good schooling. Mutant animals such as snakes and hamsters dedicate themselves to the education of the mostly orphaned population.
Suggested gameplay: High School Years (obviously), Get together & club gameplay to enhance after school activities and hobbies, Family & Parenthood gameplay, exploring farming community (with Cottage living) as the world tries to rebuild itself after the pandemic.
Adding it to the save file: If you've already been playing the save file, you will want to take townies and high school staff into cas.fulleditmode. Here is my advice in this regard. To replace the high school building with Monsterdale High School building, you will need to use bb.enablefreebuild. Dm me if you need any help.
