Chult Gamemaster Lodge Map Pack!
Hey guys!
This Map Pack corresponds to the previously released Chult Colosseum Map Pack, a massive arena in the jungle-nation of Chult, where they hold dinosaur races and other sporting events for the pleasure of the rulers, nobility and citizens.
This Map Pack details the massive Gamemaster Lodge, a two-story building that overlooks the arena from the northwest and offers a variety of spaces for social or combat encounters for your party to explore. While the arena may hold all of the racing action, the Lodge is frequently awash with political intrigue around the races, the riders and the trained dinosaurs upon which they race. Wealthy nobles and merchants seek the favor of the Gamemaster, as well as to champion riders and mounts to see their investment returned to them through victor in the games.

We have a great illustrated scene for some of the Dinosaur Racing, by Ha Art:
And here is a view of the PNG transparent tiles for the Lower and Upper floor(s):
The Lower Level contains [6] main rooms:
Main Entry - This small entry access the outer road, providing an elegant and dressed foyer for visitors to dwell until invited, or ushered, elsewhere. A set of stairs leads up to the main level of the lodge, while doors lead to an office and large kitchen area.
Lower Office - This lower office is manned by one of the Gamemaster's bookies, who manages bets from the rank and file commonfolk. They can wait for audience to come and wager on the upcoming games, as well as to collect their winnings.
Storeroom - A storeroom off the lower office serves primarily as storage for foodstuffs and ingredients for the main cooks of the kitchen.
Main Kitchen - This massive kitchen features for cookfires, frequently all in use to produce a variety of stews, breads, meats and other dishes. A pair of large reptilian cooks move about the area, preparing meals for the Gamemaster and her guests.
Cook's Quarters - A small bedroom for a few of the minor cooks lay here, with large sleeping pallets and a few pieces of furniture.
Head Cook's Quarters - This large bedroom is for the master cook, featuring a large pallet, table and furnishings, along with their heavy bone hammer, used to tenderize meat and anyone else that might fall out of line.
The Lower Level contains [11] main rooms:
Upper Foyer - At the top of a set of stairs is an upper level foyer, designed for guests of higher social status and wealthier pockets. It features a small bar, comfortable seating and access to the upper level betting facilities and Gamemaster's main chamber.
Storeroom - A small storeroom off of the foyer provides the bar there with ample supplies for elegant food and drink.
Servant's Quarters - A few hammocks swing from the ceiling of this room, offering sleeping space to the several servants that work within the lodge to accommodate its many guests.
Upper Level Betting Room - This chamber features a large desk and wall filled with scrolls detailing the many wagers made upon the games. Wealthy merchants, nobles and other citizens of note frequent this office, laying down their wagers for the upcoming games and hoping to return to collect their bounty.
Gamemaster's Main Chamber - This sprawling chamber features a massive throne crafted of dinosaur bones and is flanked with comfortable seating and two large cook-fires. Each fire is surrounded by a table and chairs, while small tables and chairs offer viewing from the windows along the southern wall. A wooden balcony extends through the southern door, where guests can get an intimate view of the games.
Gamemaster's Quarters - An area behind the dinosaur throne holds three chambers -- a meeting room for private meetings with special guests and employees, a private bedroom and bathroom.
Guard Office - A small guard office sits before the Gamemaster's official office, ensuring that no one enters or leaves without the knowledge and permission of the Gamemaster. It includes a small table, waiting couch and fresh fruit.
Gamemaster Office - A private office exists here for meetings with visiting guests, merchants, nobles and other appropriate people.
Guard Barracks - A large room holds several bunks and furnishings to support the guards that live and work within the lodge's walls. These men and women are rumored to be extremely loyal to the gamemaster for reasons that transcend coin and monetary wealth.
Guest Quarters - A large room is reserved for special guests of the Gamemaster, provided to those that they see fit. This often allows the Gamemaster to both have quick and easy access to them while entertaining, as well as being able to keep a close eye and ear upon their comings and goings while they visit.
Upper Kitchen - An area at the top of a large set of stairs allows the lower level cooks to bring foods up to the higher level without being seen. Food staged here is then brought out by servants in the upper level area.
As always, we have a great Sprite from Katsudon Art of M'bala herself, the Gamemaster:
And, using the Morvold Creature Card Generator, put together a little something that might be fun to run in the scenario:
How would I use this map?
You could certainly use this map for a One-Shot adventure, where players arrive as guests of the Gamemaster and have a special dinner prior to witnessing the games. They could then interact and meet with the various riders and personalities that operate in that area, witness the games and then perhaps witness an issue that puts them at odds with the Gamemaster, or perhaps others with them.
It could also be the source of a powerful contact that gives them quests, hires them for work or serves as a backdrop to your Chult or jungle-based campaign.
I hope you guys enjoy the location and can make some fun adventures!
