Spell Illustration | Animal Friendship
Illustrated by Chui Wizard.
Hey all!
We have a great new entry into our Spell Illustration collection, a wonderful rendition of a ranger convincing a brown bear that a local camp of goblins might be JUST the perfect place to find some fish, meat or a little fun with Animal Friendship.
Now, the scene likely has a few more things going on, such as a combination of Animal Friendship and Speak with Animals, but the general idea is there. ;)
Here's how the spell works, as written:
Animal Friendship
Enchantment
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 30 feet
Target: A beast that you can see within range
Components: V S M (A morsel of food)
Duration: 24 hours
Classes: Bard, Druid, Ranger, Occultist
This spell lets you convince a beast that you mean it no harm. Choose a beast that you can see within range. It must see and hear you. If the beast’s Intelligence is 4 or higher, the spell fails. Otherwise, the beast must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be charmed by you for the spell’s duration. If you or one of your companions harms the target, the spells ends.
At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, you can affect one additional beast for each slot level above 1st.
As a reminder, this project is to illustrate the various spells in D&D, ranging from wizards to warlocks to bards to clerics and everything in between.
I hope you guys enjoy the illustration and I will continue to update you on the project.

Hey mate, sorry that its a bit random and not on topic, but I am unsure how else to reach you. Are you aware that one of your maps is being used to promote a game on Steam? It's called "War Room: Tactical Sandbox" (https://store.steampowered.com/app/4542210/War_Room_Tactical_Sandbox/). The map you made for Bryn Shander's gates about 3 years ago appears both in the 4th screenshot, as well as the 2nd-to-last video on Steam. Just thought I'd let you know, because as far as I can see Morvold Press isn't listed anywhere on the page
Thanks! I will go and check it out.
The style like a classics fantasy illustration from the 70s-80s, so cool!
