Haunted Cabin Map Pack!
"I'll swallow your soul! I'LL SWALLOW YOUR SOUL!"
If you recognize that quote, then you will recognize elements of this cabin and be mentally well-prepared for the type of encounters one may find within its walls. If not, that's OK! (and I would highly recommend going and watching Evil Dead 2 for some inspiration).
Welcome to the Haunted Cabin in the Woods, a quaint little home nestled in the shrouded, mist-covered and unnerving woods we all know and love! The Map Pack provides [2] levels, the Main Floor and the Cellar. I've also included a Rooftop PNG transparent tile you can place over the buildings. The Main Floor has been dressed in similar fashion to the cabin from the movie, Evil Dead 2, in case people wanted to have a callback to that fun movie and see if any of the party members pick up on it.

We have a great illustrated scene for the Cabin exterior, by Ha Art:
And here is the base view of the Main Level:
The Main Level contains [5] rooms and a separate "Work Shed" building:
Common Room - This common room features a fireplace, variety of seating arrangements, storage and a desk with a strange book upon it. The book appears to be bound and locked, and there are some writings on the desk detailing what efforts have been made to determine what details the book may hold.
Bedroom #1 - The master bedroom is a simple room with a large bed, nightstand, chest, wardrobe and mirror. (You could have the mirror be a one-way mirror to the adjoining room, if you felt like being creepy).
Bedroom #2 - The second bedroom has 4 bunks, wardrobe, dressers and an old piano, because old pianos aren't ever creepy.
Kitchen - The kitchen is full of plates, cookware, pots and pans, but very little food outside of some salted pork or other goods stored in barrels and crates.
Bathroom - A bath and separate toilet are available.
Work Shop - A crowded workshop that seems to have been in somewhat recent use holds a variety of tools, equipment and other goods for fashioning items that may be necessary to thwart the plans of an ancient evil spirit of the forest hell bent on perverting and destroying the life of those that come to its domain.
There is also a large Cellar level:
The Cellar is full of shelves crowded with moldy food, bags, baskets, containers, plates and all manner of goods. There are also a wide variety of things on the table downstairs, including several backpacks and bags. A strange amount of them, actually. Other items exist that may draw someone's attention, perhaps used to release a curse or fight against it.
A secret door toward the back enters a private room that seems to be the home of someone doing intense study into the occult. Whether that study is to combat the evil spirits of the forest, or to encourage and feed them, is for you to decide!
As always, we have a great Sprite from Katsudon Art of a possessed creature:
And, using the Morvold Creature Card Generator, put together a little something that might be fun to run in the scenario:
How would I use this map?
You could certainly use this map for a One-Shot evening, where the players find themselves stranded in a spooky forest, only to find an old cabin to get out of the rain. Once there, strange events begin to unfold as the party settles in and, before long, the Spirit of Possession finds them and fun ensues.
It could also be the home of an occult expert that the players must visit to gain information, artifacts or perhaps services against a Curse or Disease with which they've been inflicted. That would provide some reuse, as well as potentially some fun quests spawned out of that encounter and location.
I hope you guys enjoy the location and can make some fun spooky memories!
