• Discuss the decision with your partner
• Leave the baby in a public place or at someone’s door for them to find
• Be sneaky or risk getting arrested and sent to jail
• A jail simulator rabbithole where you decide how to survive prison by staying out of trouble, rising to the top, or planning an escape
• Reveal your identity to the child you abandoned and plead for their forgiveness
• When confronted by the child, choose the reason behind your decision
1. You can now click on your baby to abandon them. If you select consider abandoning xyz you will be able to discuss the decision with your SO
The interaction to steal someone else's baby can be found in the shift click menu when clicking on a baby. If other sim sees you they will call the police and you will be arrested.
Click on the partner to discuss the decision, 2 custom animations are included for this interaction
once you decide to abandon your baby the baby will be transported to a basket. put the basket in your inventory and travel somewhere to leave them
Once you arrive at your desired location simply place the basket in the world and make your way out before anyone sees you
If someone catches you you will be caught by the police
You can also trigger the arrest manually in the shift click menu
Tip: if you dont feel like being arrested simply do not pick up the phone when they call you
Police should arrest you automatically when they arrive, if they dont, you can also trigger the interaction by clicking them and go to drama generator - get arrested
If your sim was arrested on a public lot they will run home first before going to the prison rabbit hole, this is normal. the prison sentence is over 6 sim days, you will get a pop up every 18-24 sim hours. There are many different things you can do in prison including: gaining skills, earn money, break out, becoming the warden's best friend, create horrible artworks, start your own gang, join a gang, get killed, get pregnant, come home with a baby etc.
keep your head down is mostly a skill gain route where you can take classes or work a prison job
rise to the top allows you to join gangs, make friends, or fight to be the top dogplan an escape allow you to escape through tunnels, vehicles, or by making connections
other sims can go find the abandoned baby and bring them home to decided what to do
the decision works similarly to the last version, giving the baby to the police will remove them from your life forever, adopting them will add them to your family, calling CPS will allow you to foster tehm
The one thing that is different is now when signing up to foster you will be given a cps file. and you will need to use it to get updates on the baby. This file is only given to babies that are abandoned by players
you can trigger the foster immediately in the shift click menu on your sim
In this version you can also adopt the foster baby once they age up
you are more likely to get approved if you have a good relationship with the child and have enough funds in your household
In this update when meeting birth parent you can ask them to give you a reason for the abandonment
there are a total of 5 options to choose from
you can also decide whether or not to forgive the birth parent
birth parents can also reveal their identity to the abandoned baby, and plead for their forgiveness, the higher your friendship is with them the more likely they are to forgive you.

Can we give the baby directly to CPS instead of just abandoning somewhere to avoid police?
I have a problem where when my sims adopt the baby after going through the CPS process, it adds the new adoptive parents to the child's old family tree in a weird way. Like it will then make the old parent who abandoned the child turn into the child's cousin because it is trying to add the new adoptive parent into the child's old family. Otherwise, I love the mods!! Keep modding!
Hi, I specially made the mod in a way that it doesn’t touch the family tree at all after adoption. Seeing that no one else is having this issue, could you do a test with no other mods and CC to see if it’s actually an issue with this mod or a mod conflict

Out of curiosity, what does it look like if you steal someone else's baby?
Hi! I love this mod but came across a few bugs with the Abandoned Baby Drama Generator. When I have a sim abandon their baby the baby will show up at the front of the house after the next loading screen and I still got notifications about the baby being taken if not fed all while it wasn't in the household. Just wanted to let you know and you're awesome!

this is very interesting, considering the parents who leave the babies in the baskets get arrested. here in the US, it is not illegal to abandon a baby at a fire station police station or fire house.
I still have yet to use this mod in my game. I just havet figured out where and when to use it.
Hello, my sim abandoned her baby and was arrested. Now however, if any I leave my lot for any reason, ie. the other kids go to the park, the prison term restarts and I get the " how will you survive" pop up again. This has happened 4 times already and my sim has been in prison for more than the 6 days. Help!

I used the cheat to have my sim arrested after abandoning her baby, and now every time I leave and re-enter the game, she's back in prison and I have to wait for her to be released again. Is there a cheat to stop this, or is this a bug?

I was wondering about the logistics abut stealing the baby. I had a sim steal a baby after breaking into one of my other sims homes. When he got the baby home there was an option to adopt the baby, so he ran off to haven it adopted into the family (which, if he stole it, logistically seems a little odd.)but the conversation indicated that the baby was abandoned. Will there now only be interactions indicating that my sim, who the baby was stolen from, abandoned her child? Or will she be able to tell the child in the future he was stolen?
I do see now that -someone took you- is an option. It just felt strange that the mother doesn't even seem to notice or care that her baby is missing. Also that the thief would go through legal channels to adopt said baby and get a moodlet that said he found an abandoned baby. The -Thinking Fast- (from finding baby) moodlett.
Hiii So I tried the Drama Generator, And I can care for the baby, put the baby in my inventory, but I can't choose to keep, or take to the police station, or call CPS. So the baby just stays a new born.

Hi, Idk why but when a child run away, there are a notification to tell me but on the notification there’s no writing there is just the photo with a white block on the right, then it is the same when report to the police there is the notification but without writing. (I use the French traduction) I also tried to remove the mod and redownload it and nothing to do

Hi PandaSama! I’m a Patreon supporter and I downloaded version 1.22 of the Drama Generator. I installed it in my Mods folder as I normally do, but unfortunately, everything appears blank in-game. The interactions are blank, the emotions are blank, basically everything related to the mod is showing up blank. I’m not sure if I installed something incorrectly or if there’s an issue with the current version. Could you please help me figure out what might be causing this? Thank you! 🤍

The kidnapper will go to prison if someone witnessed the abduction. You can trigger it manually in the shift click menu

Stealing baby and abandoning baby have to be done manually. Random abandoned babies may appearly automatically but the chances of it happening is very low

Really enjoyed this update and have already tried out the functionality of abandoning a baby. One thing I noticed is the second the newborn moved into the basket, its skin color changed. Thought it might be shading issues caused by the basket or random newborn skin color error that happens sometimes, but when I switched to the household that adopted the abandoned newborn in and aged her up, she had a completely different set of genetics.
Does anyone know how to fix it?

This is amazing! How is the geneology/family tree handled in this mod? Is there some process by which a child comes to know who their birth parents are? How do they find out?
family tree is untouched and will show the biological family tree, right now from what we know it's a bad idea to try and modify the family tree. right now they can only find out if the adoptive parent tell them about the adoption, they can find their birth parents by posting on the computer although the chances of finding them are low
