Next steps

Hi guys! Now that I’m done with the update it’s time to think about next steps again! I went through the suggestions I’ve received throughout the year and I would like some help figuring out what to work on next🧐I made sure to make it a multiple choice poll so that you can vote for all the ones you like. I’m gonna work on some general improvements this week and maybe start separating the childbirth mod into more modules if time allows. At the end of the week I’ll make another post to discuss possible features for which ever choice takes the win and take any suggestions you may have 🙏

🦠the terminal illness&disability option is for the drama generator mod specifically. I’m thinking sims could get terminal/serious illnesses like stroke, seizure, cancer etc and have to go through treatments. If their health improves they can get back to normal, otherwise they may become weaker and weaker and require a wheel chair and eventually pass away 😬

🦇Occult birth animations will be bring unique birth animations for each occult. For example mermaids can give birth in the ocean, werewolf’s and fairies can give birth in the…forest?! The point is each occult will have a special birth animation but I still need to figure out the details to make sure they make sense and are appropriate.

👶Baby health checkups allows you to visit the doctors after birth with your baby to go through health checkups. The doctor will collect blood samples, perform the moro reflex tests etc to see if they are fully healthy. If a health issue is found they would require treatments immediately

🏥Birth centre will allow you to open your own birthing clinic. Potentially it could be done by making the childbirth mod compatible with the business and hobby pack, but I still need to look into it more. I have not played with the pack yet since it came out.

👩‍⚕️The doula update will add doulas to the game who will be a dedicated sim that visits you in your house starting from the beginning of the pregnancy. They will teach your sim about latching, pumping, breathing, pushing etc they can also assist during active labor to coach your sim to relax and dilate

🍼More broth positions is self explanatory. For example sims can give birth in the bathtub, with a birthing stool(partner required). Or maybe the baby is coming out so quick they just give birth on the ground with the help of another sim.

💉The last lvf option allows sims to go through the process of getting pregnant through ivf. The couple will go to the doctors for health examination and they can start their ivf injections at home. Once a sim has gone through all their injections they can visit the doctors again where the eggs and semen will be collected (I’m not making an animation for this part 💀). If the fertilization succeeds they will transfer the embryo back to your sim and the pregnancy will start.

I was wondering if there are any plans to make stillbirth possible when giving birth at home. more birth positions would be great! thank you for all of the amazing work you do!

I just discovered your Patreon so you have probably decided what you are going to do already, but just in case this might help out a little here is a suggestion from someone that is disabled with multiple chronic conditions. Invisible illnesses are a real struggle here in the US. I'm not sure how people in other countries are treated but I do know that here people automatically make assumptions about a person by looking at their "book cover" so to speak. If they see someone that looks healthy to them getting out of a car parked in a handicapped spot they become so offended. Sometimes they will just complain loudly enough to their friend to make sure the disabled person can hear them. Other times they will actually walk up to them and confront them and I have heard of them calling the police before. Don't get me started on the horrific comments you can read online saying these people are "faking" their disabilities. They have no idea the amount of pain that we live with every single day. Some days it is better. Other days it is worse. Then their is the fatigue that robs you of all of your energy. Just taking a shower can leave you completely exhausted. I once scared my Primary Care Doctor at my visit with her. I couldn't catch my breath. I was breathing like I had ran a marathon and all I had done was take a shower and got dressed to be there for my appointment. She actually went and grabbed a wheelchair for me to sit in. I ended up being okay. That was just a really bad day. As you probably guessed, I'm one of the people with multiple chronic invisible illnesses. I have been living with them my entire life. Some of them I knew I had, I just didn't know what they were called. Others, like the lymphoma and my autoimmune disorder stayed silent most of my life but they had been lurking in the background robbing me of my energy and making me get slower and slower - then I was able to work less and less because there is only so much a person can push their body. Especially when you are getting close to 50 (at that time). I knew I had chronic migraines - though as a teenager I didn't know they were migraines I just knew I had bad headaches all the time. I tried to tell my Mom about it and she said, "You can't possibly have headaches everyday! If you had headaches every day, that means you have a brain tumor and you are going to die!" My Mom doesn't have headaches. She has no clue about the pain I feel in my head. I finally have insurance so I am taking medication to prevent the migraines, but I still get them. They are just not as severe as before for the most part. When I do get a severe one it really, really hits me hard now because I am not used to that level of pain in my head anymore. I don't know how I functioned like that? How I went to college like that? How I still made straight A's like that? How did I manage to work with that much pain? Then there is my back. I was diagnosed with scoliosis when I was 14. I remember that they had me standing in front of an entire medical class that was there while he examined me. I was in my underwear. I was practically naked in front of all of those people, my Mom wasn't in the room with me. Actually, I don't think I had my birthday yet (It's in May, so at the end of the school year) which means I was still 13 when this happened. Anyway, because my spine is curved inward at the bottom and outward at the top it is prone to injury. I really messed up my lower back when I was 20. I picked up something really heavy and didn't do it properly so I rotated a vertebra in my spine. I couldn't even put my coat on. I had to miss work for 2 weeks. Once I got my son out of his crib and was going to change his diaper. I bent down, while holding him, to get a clean diaper and my back went out. I was stuck like that. Thankfully my sisters were visiting so they were able to come grab him and help me get to the couch. Once I threw it out while I was putting gas in my car. I decided to wash the windows while the tank was filling up so I stepped over the hose to go grab the squeegee and there went my back. I was like, "Seriously back, you are going to go out for this?!" Then my upper back was messed up when I was rear ended by someone when I was on my way to take my finals at college. Surprisingly the guy that rear ended me was also going to SEMO to take his finals. You are probably wondering why that is surprising. It is because we both have a commute that is between 60 - 70 miles to get to SEMO. We also lived in the same area. He lived a town over from mine. Anyway, the only damage was to his truck. My neon was fine. I didn't realize my back was messed up at that time. Neither one of us wanted to be late for finals so we decided we would just go to finals. Between being rear-ended and carrying the extremely heavy backpack - seriously, why are college books so thick and heavy? - up the steep hills on campus my back was really taking a beating. It bothered me so much when I was working. I did have insurance around that point so I went to the doctor. I was prescribed muscle relaxers. I'm like, "How are these supposed to help the spinal pain I have in my upper back?" They work great at helping my lower back but my upper back is a whole different thing. I did what the Doctor said and took them as prescribed. I couldn't function cognitively at work so I stopped taking them. Work was the place where I needed the help with the pain. Standing all day on tile floors is hard on your body. It also gave me plantar fasciitis. When I got home from work I would have to do everything that I needed to do before I could sit down because once I sat down I wouldn't be able to walk. The bottoms of my feet would hurt so bad after I sat down. I thought my heels hurt bad at work, but the pain was nothing compared to the pain I felt when I tried to get back up. Years later I found out I also have bone spurs in my heels. Then there is the Narcolepsy. It is severe now because none of the doctors I saw over the years managed to catch it. One Doctor, when I was in my 20s, decided my symptoms meant I was pregnant. I told him I wasn't. I know my own body. He insisted on a pregnancy test anyway because he was the Doctor and he knew better. He was wrong. So he said I had a Sinus infection - he never check my sinuses - gave me a script for Seldane D, and sent me on my way. In 1999 one of the hospitals in St. Louis were baffled. They couldn't figure is out so they decided I probably had chronic fatigue syndrome. Then I lost insurance again. I wasn't properly diagnosed until I was around 50. I had an excellent Primary care Doctor and I am also forthcoming and honest about all of my symptoms because you never know when something is important. The other male Doctors pretty much ignored all of that. I guess they thought I was some kind of hypochondriac. This is part of the reason why my Lymphoma wasn't discovered until I was stage 4 (don't worry, it is a slow growing cancer. it is in remission right now. when it comes back we will treat it again. Currently there is no cure but my Oncologist told me that there is a new drug that they think could be a cure). This Doctor listened. I have every single symptom of Narcolepsy except Cataplexy (thankfully). And for some reason my Mom was shocked by this diagnosis and kept insisting that it wasn't possible for me to have it. I'm realizing that she really knows nothing about me at all. She doesn't know about all of the sleep disorders I have struggled with my entire life. I knew I had them, but I didn't realize they meant something bigger. Since it took so long to get diagnosed my Narcolepsy is severe now. I can't drive anymore. I can't even cook anymore unless it is microwavable or I can cook it in the air fryer. It can take all night for me to do a Walmart Grocery order for pickup or to write an email - or a post like this- depending on how many sleep attacks I have and how long they last. Anyway, I'm not saying all of this to make anyone feel sorry for me or to get attention. I'm trying to give a perspective that millions of disabled people have so maybe you can put it in the game. How it feels to be disabled. How everyone starts to treat you differently because they don't know what to say or do. After I was diagnosed with Lymphoma back in 2011 my "Friend" who I had known since I was a teenager took me out to lunch. I stupidly thought she was being nice. She proceeded to tell me that somebody at work was going around saying that I was making up my cancer. That I really didn't have it. I looked at her and said, "Why would anyone say that? They all saw the lump under my arm. They were all involved in my debate over getting it checked out because I didn't have insurance. They knew about the needle core biopsy that came up positive for cancer but my Oncologist wanted to get a bigger sample to narrow things down. " I showed her my scar on my armpit where they had taken the swollen lymph node completely out. I said, "What do they think I did? Cut myself and give myself this scar? That is insane!" I went on, and then there is my port, I pulled down the top of the left side of my shirt just enough so that she could see the small lump under my skin where the port was. "What, did I also cut myself open and put something under my own skin? They saw all of these things in real time as they were happening." She didn't though. She was working on a different shift than us. Then I said, "Also, why would I cut my hours down so much if I wasn't sick? That makes no sense at all. I used to work full time with no issues, what possible reason could I have to do this? How in the hell am I going to keep my house like this? (spoiler alert: I didn't keep my house) I'm not trying to get money from anyone. What possible reason could I have for not only making it up, but cutting myself up to make it look real?" She had gotten me really upset. Then she told me that one of our mutual friends was tired of me talking about my Lymphoma at work. She didn't want to hear it anymore. That cut hard. I went home so upset. My Son, Sister, and my boyfriend (he was a terrible, abusive person) at the time all told me that she was probably making it all up. She took me to lunch multiple times and she would keep repeating this same crap but in a different way making it sound worse and worse each time to really make sure I felt betrayed by everyone. She had me so paranoid at work. It didn't help that our General Manager was super petty. If you angered her she would give you just one day on the schedule the next week. I heard her and her assistant manager laughing about doing it to someone on the other shift - and they are supposed to be Christians. She had done that to me multiple times. I have no idea what I had done to make her mad at me. She also unfriended me on Facebook. So I just went to work and the only thing I would mention was common television shows that we all watched. That was it. Nobody noticed that I wasn't talking about anything else. Eventually my psychiatrist (I miss her. She is off saving the foster kids of our state and she is perfect for the job)told me to tell my "friend" to stop telling me these stories. She told me to say it like this, "I know you are trying to help me when you tell me what people are saying & doing behind my back but all it does is upsets me. I have depression and anxiety. My brain can't let this stuff go like a normal person can. These horrible stories keep running through my head and they will until I die" It is like she had a radar that something was afoot. She never took me out to lunch again so I never got to say that to her. Fast Forward to 2017 and a guy we work with just told everyone he was diagnosed with lung cancer. He called out so everyone did what they always do, bash the person that called out. Then they started saying that they thought he was making up that he had lung cancer. I about fell to the floor right then. My son, sister, psychiatrist, and therapist had finally convinced me that she was lying to me - and they were right but not in the way we though -and I was hearing everyone do exactly what my "friend" said they were doing behind my back. I looked at the maintenance guy who happened to walk up. I'd known him for over 30 years. I told him, "She told me several years ago that everyone was saying that I was making up my cancer and my son, sister, psychiatrist, and therapist had finally convinced me that she was making that up and now I see/hear them doing this about him. What am I supposed to think?" He looked at me and said, "They weren't saying anything about you, she was. She was the one telling everyone that you were making it up." I haven't seen/spoken to her since. She thought she was ignoring me I think because she didn't try to contact me at all for a long time after I left work - which was the next day, though I didn't think I was leaving for good yet. I was in denial about how disabled I was. My Doctors had talked me into a break. Then work treated me like I never mattered after over 30 years. I didn't get any sort of send off. No cake, no card, no dinner. Nothing at all. My "friend" always made sure that those of us that has been there a long time at least got a card signed by everyone. I helped open another branch years ago and I was only there a year. They gave me a send off and a gold Tweety Bird pen in a wood case. I still have it. I was only there a year. I was well like until I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Follicular Lymphoma. I may have been living in massive pain but I just ignored it and went out anyway. I got season passes for my son and I for Six Flags and we would go a couple of times a year. We would stay from open till close. By the end of the day I would be walking like I was 80 - according to my son- but we had fun even if I was in a massive amount of pain. It was worth it. Then I went on a trip with everyone from work. I took my son and one of his friends. So they were off doing their own thing. I realized that I didn't really want to be there which was weird because I loved Six Flags. I just went out to the parking lot to relax in the car for a bit. Not even 5 min. later my son and his friend came to the car. They wanted to leave too. I don't know why all of us needed to leave that day but we left. I think we were there maybe 2 hours. It's about an hours drive from my house, maybe a little more if there is traffic. There is a little epilogue with my "friend". My sister runs a Chinese restaurant. My "friend" and I used to go there all of the time. I think she went with me so she could use me to get a discount, free crabmeat rangoons, and a free drink. She doesn't get those perks anymore. Anyway, it was right around my birthday. My sister had always been ducking into the back if she saw her because she didn't want to deal with her but she was with a customer this time so she was caught. My "friend" said, "I no longer have your sister's contact information (that is BS - she is still my Facebook friend), can you wish her a Happy Birthday for me...If you guys are still talking that is." My sister went straight into the kitchen and called me she was so angry, but not at the person that my "friend" thought she would be angry at. My sister wasn't born yesterday and she saw right through her ploy to start a fight between us. After she "planted her seed" or at least she thought she did, she actually started sending me posts on Facebook for the first time in 8 years (she didn't check to see if I was okay during COVID lockdown period at all, even know I have a compromised immune system - though we didn't know about the disorder that also causes that yet)"Love bombing" me, telling me how much she missed me, etc. Standard abuser behavior. I guess she needs someone to feed off of again. Narcissists like feeding off of empaths - or so it says. I have had my share of malignant Narcissists in my life that really did drain me so maybe it's true. Sorry to post a book. I didn't mean to word vomit everywhere. It is difficult for me to edit this because of my sleep attacks and it is already after 11. My sweet cat hasn't been letting me get much sleep lately which doesn't help. We lost her sister a couple of weeks ago and neither of us are taking it well. I feel for her so much. I catch her looking for her sister. It was the anniversary week of when I got them. I've had them for 13 years now. Anyway, I haven't looked into modding - I used to program but that has been ages ago. I miss it. So I'm not sure how hard it is to put nuance into a mod. I do know that you guys do better than EA with the game. They copy what the modders did years ago. Anyway, it would be nice if there is a way to show how people with invisible illnesses are really treated by society. I am not alone in this. If you are high functioning - or you used to be but the world burnt you out because it wasn't made for you when you grew up and now it looks like they want to go back to that - it makes things complicated. People think there is no way that there is anything wrong with you. When I first started telling people at work years ago, like early 2000s, about my anxiety and depression because I thought it should be talked about more I got all sorts of horrible reactions. None of the Boomers could understand what I was saying and they didn't want to. One of my old bosses (I used to have nightmares about this woman) once said to me that I had no reason to be depressed because her life was so much harder than mine and she wasn't depressed. Depression has nothing to do with what is or is not happening in your life. if it did then people like Robin Williams and Chester Bennington would still be here right now. Years later, I did have one of them apologize to me for being such a jerk about it all. Her husband had an accident on the job and I think he wasn't able to go back to work. He became very depressed. When she saw what it did to her husband and how much he was suffering she realized that she was wrong. She apologized to me for discounting what I had been trying to tell them for years. One day I was having a really bad day at work. It was one of my "cry days". So she put her arm around me and started singing, "Had a bad day" to me. That was the sweetest thing ever. She is my Mom's age. She had already retired before my cancer diagnosis. Anyway, there is a thing called "masking" where you put on a mask to deal with people and to appear normal. You might wear different masks for different people (one for friends, family, teachers, Coach, etc.)I got to the point where I couldn't keep the mask up. I was done peopling. I had been betrayed too many times by people I trusted and I had to deal with so many rude, entitled people as well. You can only keep that friendly smile up for so long and then someone is going to come in and say something rude and you will get rude right back. Especially if you have one of the extremely bad headaches. I had to ask my boss to keep me in the back away from people while we adjusted my meds because I didn't want to end up cussing out someone who was rude. He agreed. Everyone else said they understood what I was going through, until it became inconvenient for them and they needed someone to deal with the people. They didn't want to do it and I was excellent at it so they wanted me to do it. They only finally stopped after my cancer diagnosis. Cancer or Major Depressive Disorder/Severe Anxiety are both valid reasons to not have someone deal with the public but some people will still only follow the law when it comes to a diagnosis like cancer, or a broken leg. Of course it's not really fair to ask you to take on the responsibility of educating people on the things that disabled people have to deal with all of the time. It would just be nice to see in a game. Where it is real and raw. Where you see a persons friends all just disappear like they were never there in the 1st place. I don't even see my sister and she lives in the same town. I only see her when she has to pick me up for holidays and birthday to take me with her and her husband. I was too sick to go the last two times (one of which was celebrating my birthday along with my sisters). I have two friends that have some more rare disorders. I'm not sure what they are I just know that they live in severe pain throughout their entire body everyday. It also saps their energy. Neither one of them gets out much. I don't get out at all unless it is to go to the Doctor or to my Parents house. I should look into learning how to mod instead of telling someone to do some big, complex project. It is just staying up while I am doing it that is the problem. I hope this makes sense. This is exactly as it came out of my head. No edits. I'm having too many sleep attacks and I'm having trouble seeing the screen properly. I need to get my eyes checked. I keep putting that off because I have too many regular Doctor appointments. Anyway, please give me some grace of my spelling and grammar mistakes since I did not go back and proofread this. This is just raw, uncut thoughts from my brain. I have too many thoughts.

These all sound great! But curious if you'd be willing to have the illnesses be optional? I don't know if that's already the plan but as a hypochondriac, real illnesses in the game can occasionally be a trigger to me but I LOVE your mod so I wouldn't want to have to not play with it. Just a suggestion I guess :D Keep doing your thing

IVF injections! That would be amazing especially if it's compatible with Lumpinou's RPO. My husband has Male Factor Infertility and IVF is our only option but even with that the chances are still low. THIS WOULD BE FOR ALL THE IVF WARRIORS like myself!!!

Nymarchell · August 10, 2026

I know this isnt necessarily an option but when you update the child birth mod could you speed up the process of the sims giving birth? I know its supposed to be realistic, and personally I really enjoyed the active gameplay but I ended up removing the mod from my game because it just took too long for my sim to give birth or certain items like the surgery machine or the birthing pool would become inaccessible and my sim end up spending 2-3 days in the hospital trying to give birth and would effect my gameplay

P
PandaSama · August 10, 2026

The dilation speed already varies and they can give birth in as quick as 4 hours. Use the give birth immediately cheat next time if you don’t want to wait

W
WingsofRain · August 9, 2026

More birthing positions would be awesome! I’ve noticed that solo births feel very incomplete, and the babies really shouldn’t be coming out fully clothed, and it would be cool to have a position where the sim giving birth could use a chair to prop themself up (for solo birth just to clarify) or sofa birth (which could work really well for partner births too!). I also think it would also be really great storywise to have sounds/reactions/more moodlets change depending on previous births, like a pregnancy scare could lead to more negative moodlets (scared, uncomfortable, etc) during pregnancy and birth, and births with no issues could grant more positive ones like confident and energized during labor. And instead of just flat out crying every single time there could be more determined pushing noises for the experienced parents.

I would like the option to have sims hold newborns in the hospital bed. This would be a great way to incorporate skin to skin interactions.

Alors vraiment j'adore tes mode !!

Hi! First of all, I absolutely love all the work, creativity, and thought you put into your mods. ❤️ I had a suggestion that I think could add even more realism to the Childbirth Mod. It would be amazing if Sims who are unable to have biological children could go through different family-building options, such as adoption, sperm or egg donors, surrogacy, or even a gestational carrier. I know we currently have the Science Baby option, but having these as separate, more realistic experiences with their own gameplay and storytelling would add so much depth for players who enjoy realistic family gameplay. I think it would be such a meaningful addition and a wonderful touch to an already incredible mod. Thank you for everything you do!

Curiosity question: Once you choose to start a mod how long does it take you to create -hours, days, months, years? I’m honestly just curious and also I want my husband to die by illness in my current household and I would love to try your mod once it’s finished since I’m obsessed with your birth mod- I’m just wondering if I should hold on a little longer until you finished it or try out a different one and try yours out in a later safe☺️ well ofc only if that’s the one you will create I’m just saying that cause so far it has the most votes 😆

I am really concerned about adding more content to the birth mod without breaking it up into more modules. Could you make any/all of these add- ons into modules to begin with? The mod has some great features already but it so, so big. I would like more birthing positions and maybe occult births, which sounds promising, if the can be add ons. I don't really want more content unless it is an add on. There are already two good and mature health mods out there so I encourage you to create your own unique content for the drama mod that is not existing at all yet. I would love to see drama among adults about online drama, reputational hits, leaked information, lies, misinformation, AI fakes, etc that could affect relationships, careers, skill gain, etc. (the scandals from R&L pack took a stab in this direction but is SO badly executed it's pretty unusable).

I love all of this. Absolutely amazing!

I think it would be so incredible if there was a way to add the ability to change positions during pushing and have some babies be easier/more difficult to push out maybe based on weight or if the pregnancy has gone longer or if mom is older. Idk if that’s even possible but it would be so cool instead of the same 3 pushes every time since every birth is different!

I love infants in my household and i would just love to see baby health checkups even for toddlers. That would be so awesome, the game just doesn't have enough to do with infants as it should. I would love to see more mods in the future having anything to do with infants or toddlers lol but what you choose would be awesome. You are doing an AMAZING job in all that you do. thank you !!!

IVF would be soooo cool but then doing baby checkups makes your game soo realistic!!! LOVE EVERYTHING YOU DO!!

Liz Upton · August 8, 2026

I love the idea of being able to do IVF injections at home, makes it a little more detailed than the other mod. But I’m excited about baby checkups as well.

Kellerella · August 4, 2026

After voting for the terminal illness, I changed my mind on my preference. I'm pretty sure another modder has done it before, along with IVF, health checkups, and surrogacy. Being able to build our own birth centers with business and hobbies would be amazing. I hate having to load in that huge lot that comes with get to work, only to have to edit it to place the needed cc. Not to mention you can only get to it through certain interactions. You better believe I'll be building a birth center in San Sequoia.

c
carla-jayne · August 10, 2026

Not sure if you've done this or not but I redid the hospital up with the cc from childbirth mod and then saved it to my library so now when my Sims go to hospital for an ultrasound ect I just quickly turn on free edit mode and get it from my library. Saved so much time aswell.

Kelly Silk · August 4, 2026

As a midwife who’s a massive birth nerd and who’s caught hundreds of babies with mama in SO MANY different positions - more birthing positions would be AWESOME!!! every update you’ve done has been brilliant. I know they’re so time consuming, but that would have my vote! Second of all would be a birthing centre for my sims who don’t feel hospital or home is right for them (just like in real life!) x

l

I am also a massive birth nerd (though life did not permit me to become a midwife), and would love love love more positions!

I feel as though we already get terminal illness with the Health Redux mod by Adeepindigo. Maybe if you do something you can colab with them again so it's not too much in the game.

I would absolutely love a mod where you can work as a CPS social worker, similar to how you can play as a midwife in the Childbirth Mod

T
Toni Hawthorne · August 4, 2026

If terminal illnesses wins (not my vote), can it be modular? I already have a mod for this.

C
CrumpledMyBottom · August 4, 2026

I would really love a birth center so that my midwife sim doesn't have to diagnose random non-pregnant patients with sweaty shivers or whatever... Also is it at all possible to make an option to add a played Sim as a patient in addition to, if not instead of, spawning randomly generated pregnant Sims? My Sims are always having babies so this shouldn't be a problem.

T

I kinda want an over over overhaul of the pregnancy test where you have to buy a pregnancy test before you use it. Like go to a rabbit hole to buy one.

Birth Center could add so much to the game! To expand on that idea, you could also make the birth centers a place for newborn checkups or an "alternative" checkup place to the hospital to add a "holistic" aspect to gameplay! No matter what it is, im sure itll be great :)

Hey PandaSama! 🌟 First off, thank you so much for all the incredible work you put into your mods! The level of detail and care you bring to The Sims 4 completely transforms how so many of us play the game. I wanted to drop a few feature and mod suggestions that I think would fit right into the amazing style of gameplay you create, adding even more emotional depth, diversity, and realism: Expanded Healthcare & Illness System: Everyday Illnesses: Cozy recovery routines, noticeable symptoms, and nursing interactions. Chronic/Terminal Illnesses: A delicate, opt-in system for deeper storytelling around medical challenges. Deeper Grief System: Reworked, profound bereavement mechanics when losing a close loved one. Physical Accessibility & Mobility Aids: Functional wheelchairs for Sims of all ages and walking sticks/canes for elders or Sims recovering from injury. Neurodiversity & Personality Spectrum: Traits or systems representing Autism, ADHD, OCD, and learning differences—complete with unique moodlets, hyperfixations, and world interactions. IVF & Advanced Reproductive Healthcare: An interactive IVF route for Sims facing fertility struggles, as well as options for Elder Sims wanting to expand their families later in life (clinic visits, procedures, emotional outcomes). Thank you again for always listening to the community and for everything you do for Simmers! Whether any of these ever make it onto a future poll or project idea, we appreciate your talent and creativity so much. Happy Simming! 💕

Omg I hope we can get the birth center & baby health checkups. I was literally thinking the other day how I hate always having to go to the hospital every time our sims is pregnant and doing the checkup or gyn visits. I want to be able to have a separate health center especially compatible with business and hobbies. If not I would love for it to be its own lot type using a custom venue or mod venue.

L
Lisa Grace · August 3, 2026

Love all. Can we get more small activities/toys for toddlers and children.

narwall_0819 · August 3, 2026

I like the more birth options simply because it’ll be nice to have more options that could also be used during medieval times (I’ve been into a lot of medieval related things recently lol). Which kinda coincides with the occult births, in that it would be a nice option for a sim to give birth in a forest lol. I do like the one where the baby just comes suddenly and the sim just gives birth on the spot. But I would like more unassisted options in all those other places where sims can give birth at home. Like my sim gives birth on the bed with absolutely no assistance, just the sim. Or the same for if the bathtub idea is to be done (maybe not alone cause that can be risky!) idk im just spewing things. I just think more buffs or options or even situations for sims to give birth in, would be more impactful, story wise!

Would baby health checkups be compatible with adeepindigo’s Healthcare Redux or would they be something that works separately?? Thanks so much!!

Zaylo · August 3, 2026

I don't know if you want other suggestions or not, but one thing that always been a letdown for me is that sims can discuss expanding the family with unplayed households ie they're siblings, but they can't discuss expanding the family, or plan for a pregnancy with their partner. To me this would add realism to the game if there was a system that allows sims to plan to have a baby and also play into a system where there are accidental or unplanned pregnancies. I have thought about trying to tackle making a system that would do this, but the mods I have produced have really only been centered around rabbit holes.

L
Lexa · August 3, 2026

For the drama generator, will you give it the option to disable some of those? I like the idea of it and want that. I just don’t want my sims to be diagnosed with seizures is all (a bit triggering for someone who has epilepsy).

M
Mel Wedderburn · August 3, 2026

I second this…after having suffered losing both parents to cancer, I don’t want any of my sims to have to go through that..

M
Mirja · August 3, 2026

Hi Panda. :) Those are some really great options, but: Oh yeahy! My occult Baby birth options! ❤️❤️😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰 I need EXACTLY this! 😁 The illnesses and health checks for babies sound really great, too! :) No matter what you ultimately choose, thank you so much for all the love and passion you always put into it. 😊🥰 Mirja

Thank you for all that you do 🫶🏽. I usually just have regular births. Any suggestions on how I can have a mix of things? How do I know if my SIM has trouble getting pregnant etc. Do I know if I can do IVF? I’ve never had a SIM have a C-section or a baby be in the ICU either. Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to set up a ICU bed? I use the hospital that you created.
