Modding Diary - Partner Reaction + Ultrasound Animation (Stillbirth)
hiiiiiii guys hope you all are well! 🥰
This week I worked on the partners animation for still birth, they would stand at the usual spot but they will look very sad
they will get this moodlet as they support the birthing sim
once the baby is born you will see them tearing up occasionally
the birthing sim will get a memory box in their inventory
inside you will find the swaddle blanket, their beanie, an ultrasound photo, heart-shaped imprints, the hospital bracelet, and a teddy bear
it comes in four swatches and you can also purchase it from build and buy mode
you can customize the text on the memory box if you like
the birthing sim would be devastated once they receive the news
I will likely release another bug fix update for the childbirth mod next week to address two issues:
teens can't analyze samples when working as a midwife
pregnant patients are overloading the world with babies
if there are any other bugs you noticed feel free to send me a DM or reach out on my discord so I can address them all at once!

I don't want to say 'this is amazing' for something so sad. But it really is with detail and the though. Would it be classed a miscarriage is trimester 1 and then a stillbirth in 2 and 3, or is it a stillbirth in all 3 trimesters? I do already use a miscarriage mod in my game (it makes it feel more real, and also more of a challenge to have babies)
Will sims have a chance of stillbirth even without the ultrasound showing no heartbeat with this mod? Just curious in regards to storytelling purposes. The mod looks amazing so far 😍
This is incredible! Thank you for adding such realism to the game. I don't mean to be insensitive but the swaddles are a gorgeous detail. Have you thought about maybe making them an outfit or an override for other newborns in the game?
Unfortunately making the swaddle an outfit doesn’t seem to be possible at the moment. The baby turns into a kraken every time i tried modifying the mesh

Will the baby hat in the keepsake box always be blue what if you have a girl? I love the keepsake box idea. I didn't even think of that also , I love how the box have different neutral swatches. That's like one of the best ideas to me. Its important that the baby is remembered in some type of way besides an urn. Thank you for all the thought you are putting into this update.
