I would say watch the movie instead of the separate episodes, but If you do watch the separate episodes for the ones who don't have crunchyroll, please look up the post credit scene, I'd love to see your reaction to that lol.

About ending credits: a fun exercise is, after getting this far, going back and watching the ending credits for season 2.

I was adamant about you watching the movie instead of the specials merely because of the post credit scene that is not included in the specials. But I understand since many people don't have crunchy roll, that would be problematic for them. BUT... if you could find a way to look up that post credit scene and react to it, a lot of us would be delighted as I'm sure you would.

Ahhh that's fine... take the break. we ended up waiting several months in between the end of pt 2 and the specials. The first one got shadow dropped out of nowhere.

That's the last time we see both that intro and outro.

Like many are saying, watch the two episode finale rather than the “movie” version that combines both episodes, as a lot of people don’t have access to it. I think the first episode is 50-ish minutes long and the second slightly over an hour. The movie is 2 hrs 25 minutes but I feel like the series is better watched episodically broken up in those two episodes.

Annie’s finally just broken. A child soldier who’s tired of fighting, but just needs it all to stop

Hi Nat, for the finale, I know this is a Patreon only series and that it doesn’t have the same exposure as YouTube, but could we please have a discussion and review like you do for other reactions? I’m a little biased this is one of my favorite shows and I think it deserves some love and discussion and analysis once you finish it

I agree with the comments saying you should just stick to your plan of watching the Final Chapters as two parts rather than "The Last Attack" movie, which is a Crunchyroll exclusive. I know lots of people watch along on Hulu or DVD/Blu-ray, so they would miss your reaction to the finale if you did it that way. Just stick to your plan of watching the two specials!

Hey Nat! I've advocated for watching The Last Attack AoT instead of the last two episodes before but I've just learned that it's not available on Hulu. At least I can't find it there. It's a crunchy roll exclusive. A few discord members have told me they are watching along on Hulu so for their sake I think you should watch the last two episodes that are in Season 4

remember when this show was just about fighting titans? ;-; and speaking of, its amazing how the plot had evolved and it doesnt feel unnatural from where we started to where we're at now. when jean shot that girl who hesitated in shooting mikasa and looked terrified, it was like he'd grown from season 3 when he couldnt kill that woman working for kenny and she overpowered him, forcing armin to shoot her. or earlier in this season when he hesitated to fire his thunder spear at a weakened pieck because falco was there. this time no hesitation.

That moment stood out to me too, because this is the kind of character development where it’s like… “is that good?” 😭 And of course, that’s the point! Very brutal, but very understandable.

As for postponing one week - that's fine. Take the time you need to give the specials the attention they need. Look forward to it!

Yeah, no. I get surprised too that I water up at some scenes still. Sheesh. Dang ninja's cutting onions all over the place xD

One week off is warranted, that's completely fine. Are you planning on watching the chapters on separate weeks or together as The Last Attack movie?

m
mitchhamilton64 · October 5, 2026

i hope its one week with the two ova's. ive never seen the last aot movie and from the scenes i saw and heard, it would be jarring to say the least for nat who has no idea about that side of aot.

This was an intense episode Nat. So many sacrifices. Look forward to the final standard episode next week. Yikes, it's a rough week of reactions. Tomorrow! 😭
