FIRST TIME WATCHING: X-Men '97 S2E9
Thinking I could go this whole episode without weeping was a little naive...
Oh man, what a wild ride this season has been. Despite all the ups and downs, I still feel like it was a little gentler on my heart than last season. But maybe that's just because I'm hardened now haha.
Here is this week's schedule:
MON: X-Men '97 S2E9
TUE: Attack on Titan S4E72&73
WED: Poll
THU: Buffy the Vampire Slayer S2E8
FRI: Hellboy 2
Looking forward to starting a new show with you guys soon! As always, thank you so much for your support here on Patreon. Until the next one, stay golden! ✨

Stoppp I LOVE your reactions to this show so much 😭 I enjoyed the episode initially but, I admit, my impression was a little soured by some of the negative reception to the finale on social media, which is my own fault 😅 but your reaction was so good and untainted, and you’re picking up on the lore and following characters well, and having fun theorising about the future (and shipping Polaris and Bishop!) that it actually made me hype again - hell yeah, season 3! 😆 REMY AND ROGUE 💕 KURT ❤️🩹 MYSTIQUE 💙
It definitely felt more “breakneck speed” compared to season 1, which I mostly attribute to the change in behind the scenes team - but that couldn’t really be avoided I still enjoyed the season overall and hope they find their footing again with season 3 onwards. Season 1 was so good, I need that high again 😭
Mystique is a Main character in the Original seasons. You should check it out. Just as good as this,
You can always count on X-Men writers to get you in the feels. Only surprised they didn’t invoke “Greater love has no man than this, that he would lay down his life for his friends.” during the outro.
One thing that you may have missed is that Havok, AKA Alex, is actually Alex Summers, Cyclops' brother. So when you called him a Cyclops wannabe, you weren't far off.
I knew that Kurt's sacrifice was going to get you. It was such good writing. Make sure you watch Loki Season 2 before Avengers Doomsday, because you might miss some context without it.
Also marvel just confirmed its X-men film will be the first film after next years Avengers Secret Wars
If you’re looking for a new show after this to add to a poll there’s a new DC tv show on HBO Max called Lanterns. It follows the Green Lanterns and Nathan Fillion returning in his role as Guy Gardener from Superman though he’s not the lead. Basically it’s space cop True Detective is the pitch.
I watched the first episode today as well. I enjoyed it a lot.
Idk you cried pretty hard with Kirk's death.
Vals definitely dead I hope we get Ted Lasso next week.
I think I still liked S1 of X-Men '97 better but this season was still great, with a very good climactic ending. Here’s hoping that Sopranos or The Wire make it into the next series poll! Hey even The Expanse would be a win ;)
Happy Monday Nat. Hope Tyler's movie is going well 😊 Looking forward to seeing what happens in the finale. They certainly kept us guessing with that one and the ending was a devastating shock 😭
Cant wait to watch this with you.
