And about the OADs... it think we are way past that by now. They are fun to watch and give a little bit of extra content, but those are not mandatory. If you WERE to pick any to react to just to give them a shot, I recomend "Ilse's Notebook" which is a Hange lead side story and "No Regrets" a two parter Levi lead story which includes him first joining the scout regiment and him meeting Erwin for the first time. But yeah, the specials are not in that camp...
Ok so... you can do one of two things... you can watch Special 1 and Special 2. That's what was broadcasted at the time of it's release. BUT... a slightly better way to do is is to skip those and watch the movie "Attack on titan: The Last Attack". That was a movie that was released in theaters. It includes the two specials back to back with enhanced visuals and an exclusive post credit scene that is for sure worth the watch.
The comments about Levi's popularity are another meta joke. He won many popularity polls throughout the series' run
It's not just you, this is my first time watching and I just wait until they say each others name to know who is whom 😆 This eldians all look the same
The animation threw me off too do
Sticking to 2 episodes per week? Can't wait for the specials week then lol.
The answer to “why is he just bleeding on the table” is he’s showing them he can transform in an instant. It’s like having a gun drawn. He did the same thing when he met Reiner.
the movies are the finale. they aired live on tv in japan. they are not optional unless you don't want to find out how it ends lol
Such a tense episode, watching all the pieces fall into place for the confrontation between Niccolo and Gabi was torture 😭 Eren walking in with a bleeding hand is the equivalent of someone walking in holding a bomb, it’s a threat so they don’t make a move ☹️ and allying with Floch… it’s looking BLEAK for your boy
Attack on Titan is gonna super heavy I highly recommend the show to replace X-Men 97 be something happy cause the shit is gonna be sad af!
I'm so happy you appreciate Gabi's story. So many people hate on her and miss the nuance of her purpose in the show. Also Eren cut his hand to show them he could turn into a titan at any moment. It's the equivalent of holding a gun to their heads.
great reactions! The reason Eren came into the room with his hand already cut is like a "I could transform into a Titan at anytime so don't try anything" move.
The Final Season Specials are mandatory. What they are: The final conclusion of the series (The Final Season - Part 3 and Part 4) was released as two feature-length, hour-long TV specials rather than regular weekly segments.
The conditions for turning into a titan is: - Intent - An open wound Examples: - Eren biting his hand during s1-3 - Annie was able to transform into a titan in s1 using a ring with a knife attachment - Eren with a cut hand during his talk in the basement with Reiner (s4) - Eren with a cut hand during his talk in the restaurant (current ep) The purpose of the cut hand is like a pointed gun, to show that he can transform at any time
the two sort of "movie length" episodes after 87 are the end of the series. - I'd be surprised if you got to the end of episode 87 and were like "yeah I'm good there" lol
Nat please you need to watch episode 78 79 and 80 in one day please
i checked which episode those were and while i do understand why i dont think its really super necessary. like i said, arguing which episodes she should do in a bulk is arbitrary since every single episode leads into the next one.
I understand why some people think certain episodes should be watched all together but ultimately these episodes aired once a week so it is absolutely not necessary to watch anything back to back.
i cannot express enough how genius the setup was for gabi and the braus family. had sasha's father wanted to kill her, i bet gabi wouldve understood that and i bet thats why she was so scared because, who in the world would have more justification to kill someones killer than that someones parent, it wouldve been justified. but to have him of all people forgive her and not only that be concerned for her safety is just brilliant but then the genius comes after. kaya, who had protected gabi and falco even when she openly tried to murder her, who knew since the beginning that they were marlyians and protected them, to have this sweet girl go into a rage and try to kill her, it had to of opened her eyes about how much of a monster she is. honestly, i said this last week to a comment but im totally fine with keeping it two episodes a piece. like i said, deciding which episode bulk should be 3 instead of two is arbitrary since every single episode leads into the next one. im not too familiar with the format on crunchyroll but all i know is the last two episode of attack on titan are close to an hour or over an hour long. theyre absolutely necessary since theyre the series finales. i kind of regret being one of the people informing you about missing sasha's dad because its revealed this episode anyways and its not like you can retroactively go back and watch it the episode for the first time anyways. just wouldve been fun to have seen it click in real time.
Happy Titan Twosday Nat. Excited to get back into this and try and get my head around what's happening at the moment 😅😊
The "Final Chapters" parts 1 and 2 are the series finale. They are absolutely mandatory, but that will be made very obvious once you finish episode 87 hahaha
Also just FYI if you go to the season selection there is a compilation of SP1 and SP2 into a single movie called Attack on Titan: The Last Attack. It has an added after credits scene and turns the finale into a 145 minute feature length movie without cutting any content. It's worth watching that instead of SP1 and SP2.
watching 78 79 and 80 back to back isn't super necessary, it's just a nice package of episodes. All good if you end up forgetting or deciding not to do it!
Couldn’t wait for this episode
This is probably my favorite episode in the show. I know it may be a hot take because there’s very little action or no big twist like some of the more famous episodes. The masterful way Gabi’s character has been written for this moment, how Sasha’s character still plays an important role after her death, the way the theme of the show finally comes into the foreground with “children of the forest.” Such an amazing episode!
this is one of my favorite episodes! This ep also cemented Sasha's dad as one of my favorite characters.
