FIRST TIME WATCHING: Attack on Titan S4E61

Annie is still in the crystal egg thing in Paradisian custody

just a poor random soul who tagged himself out 'cause it's a nightmare in there.

Yup... there lies the problem. Eldians will always be hated no matter what they do.

I love you were still able to detect he nuance in reiner as he was talking to his family is others, its a little easier to detect it in the dub over the sub, also reiner and the others are constantly being monitored which is why he is always careful of what he says

Anyone know where this weeks AOT is??

Wait, since she dropped X-Men, does this mean there's no new Attack on Titan episodes this week?😔

I'm gonna start spamming about the next anime you absolutely NEED to watch: ERASED. It's short, beautiful, and has an amazing story.

Reiner describing Sasha offering to split “half” her potato, and the rest of his friends as examples of his hellish time on the island 😭 bc it wasn’t hellish… he loved them

Ymir’s unceremonious end 💔 just after pride month too tf There’s already so much happening and we haven’t even been to Paradis yet 😭 it’s crazy getting more details about how Marley and the Eldians work tho, very obvious parallels being drawn to WW2 as you said. I suppose it’s the idea that the Eldians are being told constantly, pretty much from birth, that they are devils and that they are responsible for countless deaths in the past. But yeah, it’s hard to believe there hasn’t been more resistance efforts

wow you're really following the story extremely well so far. You really understood the train scene between Reiner and Falco. S4 will definitely be your favorite season. The pacing is so good, every episode is so important, absolutely no filler.

NO SPOILERS - So excited that we're finally up to Season 4! The "not in this room" comment from Zeke was a hint to Reiner, Pieck and Galliard that while the Marleyans weren't in the room, they could be listening. Commander Magath said he didn't like the comment from Zeke because it could mean the warriors' words were guarded. Also just a reminder, all eldians can be turned into pure mindless titans but only once a pure titan eats one of the 9 can they shift back and forth. Our Ymir changed from a pure titan to the Jaw Titan when she ate Marcel. Since leaving Paradis with Reiner, she was eaten by Galliard who now has the Jaw Titan as a result. Love hearing your theories at the end of each episode while the credits play out! Can't wait for next week.

Just a refresher, when they refer to "the nine" they are referring to the nine titan shifters of which you have met 8: The "founding titan" (currently in Eren) The "colossal titan" (currently in Armin) The "armored titan" (currently in Reiner) The "jaw titan" (currently in Galliard) The "female titan" (currently in Annie) The "cart titan" (currently in Pieck) The "beast titan" (currently in Zeke) And the "attack titan" (currently in Eren) The only one you haven't met, which was mentioned in this episode, is the "warhammer titan".

sneaky sneaky

Yes, Ymir is dead. Galliard inherited her titan when they brought her back to Marley. She originally stole the titan from Galliard's brother Marcel when he saved Reiner on their mission to try and take the Founding Titan all those years ago. Reiner, Marcel, Annie and Bertholdt all left on that mission and obviously only Reiner would end up returning. Yes, Annie is still in custody with the Military Police. We also know that Zeke does in fact have Royal Blood since Grisha's first wife, Dina Fritz was off the royal bloodline. Nobody within the Marley government appears to know that though.

Last thing we know about annie back from season 2 is that she crystalized and was taken away somewhere. Don't think we got any other details about her. And yes, Galliard ate Ymir to gain her titan shifter form "the Jaw" which used to belong to Marcel (who Ymir ate when Reinar, Berholt, Annie and Marcel first arrived on the island). Still find myself excited whenever one of these reaction drops. You are doing great keeping up with the show and you are asking very good questions that none of us will answer for you :D

Ymir is dead dead. She had been turned into a Titan and dropped off in Paradis as punishment, ate Marcel as a Titan and inherited the Jaw Titan, and then was eaten by Galliard, the warrior candidate chosen to inherit it after being brought back to Marley. Also, yeah Annie is still in custody.

im loving the theories youre coming up with. this is not a spoiler but remember, dina, zekes mother was of royal descent. colt made a comment of "its not like you have royal blood" so as far as marley knows, zeke is a normal eldian but his capabilities are special and no one knows why except him. just something to keep in mind. i will say, while i do like the animation, the amount of rotoscoping bugs me, because its so obvious. theres just this weird level of overacting on the actors part where its like every line they need to emote and its distracting. to play devils advocate, i mean, obviously the way eldians are treated are horrible but i think part of the control is that eldians can easily be seen as monsters. theyre the only race that can turn into titans, its been tested and proven. so imagine sitting next to someone who you dont know could just turn into a titan and eat you without a second thought. obviously we know they cant just do that but the uncertainty is frightening.

Their Eldian arrival home hits so much different. It juxtaposes the Scouts coming home to absolutely no one waiting for them, while also continuing to hammer home the "Eldians are basically the WWII Jews" imagery.

And yes by the way, that girl was our Ymir. Reiner and Bertholt took her back to Marley and she was fed to Porco Galliard. Porco's brother Marcel was the kid eaten by Ymir's regular titan, which gave Ymir the power to transform back to a human.

Heeding your call to reiterate things you may have missed! It has been 9 years since Reiner and Bertholt and Annie infiltrated Paradis, which means it's been 3 years since the finale of Season 3. Also, just a reminder because you missed it last season, but the "giant Titans in the Walls" refer to the titans LITERALLY inside the walls (remember way back in Seasons 1 and 2, the chunk of wall that fell off exposing a Titan?)

2 epic episodes today Nat that are setting up an interesting season for sure. Looking forward to more next week 😊

You understand everything pretty well in this episode. Yes galliard ate Ymir And yes Annie is still in a crystal deep underground within wall sina being watched.

Reiner's situation really is sad. Every one of his childhood friends are gone, and he sees them all in the warrior candidates. Marcel got eaten by Ymir, Bertholdt got eaten by Armin, and Annie is a prisoner on Paradis.

Yeah, Galliard inherited Ymir's titan. He ate her. She's dead
