Spectralayers is INSANE for sample separation and mixing

There's a drumloop I've been wanting to use for 20 years, but because of some annoyances in it, I've never been able to. I've kept it on my hard drive for two decades, hoping, "One day". That day is now. I can finally use it thanks to what Spectralayers can do.

I'm always keeping my eye on the latest goodies when it comes to audio engineering, sampling, and AI and that sort of stuff.

One thing that recently fell on my radar is Steinberg Spectralayers.
This one is too good not to share.

Going through some sample processing, and man, am I stoked to experience this next level of honing, because I have not experienced it before.

If you're into sampling, cleaning up samples, and sample separation – honing it and taking it further and being much more specific than all other services doing that – this may be the absolute winner.

This will also help in terms of mixing some house music loops where everything is baked in…they're a big part of daily mixing work. I'm showing that, too.

And this is not an ad: I'm still demoing it, so this is genuine stoke vibes here.

This will also help me in some mixing tasks.

Been a while since I've been really stoked about something, but this…this is it.

No probs! That software can do much more: I'm still learning...stoked to learn more!

...now that I've thought about it more the house chromagram you show is interesting. The kick shape is very distinctive because of how it quickly dives down into the sub frequencies. I wonder how well this handles separating out a side chained kick and bass, though. If I had to guess, probably fairly well, given that it's easy enough to set up training data representing that for the models underpinning this program.

I'd guess it handles it fairly well. You can demo it btw – I still am.

Hahaha you did a Reddit AMA in 2014 or so and one of your posts complained about this sample. I feel the pain of that so much more watching this vid, must have been a hell of a wait
