This snare needs HELP! Turning an awful snare to a good one [mixing video]
I have a knack for picking old drumsounds for my productions.
Sometimes it can be a pain to make them work well.
In this video, I'm showing the processing that turns a dusty snare to a good one!

Funny thing that for my ear unprocessed snare drum sounds more natural in terms of this particular track. I want to say by this that music is still so subjective thing :)
Yeah I'm still not sure if this is the final processing, but I did feel it needs some brightening/tops and wanted to see where it can go.
Just a note on Trueverb. There's a track that has an absolutely lush reverb on the snare and chords. Negative by Scuba. I asked him what the reverb was and he said it's Trueverb. I couldn't get that reverb to sound like that track.
Oh nice, gotta check that out! Trueverb is something I literally just got bcs I got some freebies after buying some Waves plugins. Will investigate! Thank you for the tip.
