[Announcement] Dark Souls 2: Seamless Co-op - Time frames update
Hi everyone
In my previous post regarding the release time frame for Dark Souls 2 seamless co-op, I estimated that the release window would be early this month (September).
Release window II
As release windows are extremely stressful for me, I need to make sure I am around to address any immediate issues that present with the mod. I have had to delay the release of the mod by a few weeks as I am still tied up with some personal matters until the middle of September:
The updated provisional estimated release window is in mid September. However this is subject to change.
Just before release, I will make a post here and a short YouTube video confirming a date / time of release.
Post-release
As mentioned before, when I release the mod I'll have a clear schedule to address any immediate issues with the mod. I will also be clear that this is an alpha release and that some bugs are expected (although no game-breaking ones).
During the alpha period, updates will be mandatory - meaning when a new update is released the previous versions will be disabled. This is both to preserve my own sanity from people reporting old bugs, and also to give players the most bug-free experience possible.
Online mechanics
In terms of multiplayer mechanics, the following will be available on release:
Co-op (the entire purpose of the mod)
Invasions (via the invasion item)
Mirror squire boss invasions (via the enlistment item obtained from defeating the boss)
Other covenants may be added later, but will not be available on initial release.

By all means, I absolutely understand the time it takes to make these sorts things. Used to make mods *not even on this scale* and it can be a pain in the rear. I applaud and thank you so much for making these a reality That also being said, I like to think im a patient person, this however has proven to me that im not lol. I am so antsy, so is my partner 😅 we have not been so excited for a video game in so so long until this project. Its been like waiting for a new season to drop of a favorite show. To think we are so close is only adding to that tension- Hoping for as the very least an update about a release time! Or at least a confirmation if it will be this month or not. But I also understand how busy and stressful this probably has been. Nonetheless, thank you again! I shall continue refreshing every six hours with high hopes :) your the best!

Seriously hyped for this one. Seamless Elden Ring and dark souls 1 are top tier. Dark souls 2 has a special place in my heart - I liked it before it was cool - and had some really good jolly cooperation.

Sometimes I wonder why Dark Souls 2 decided to use a different engine and if that engine is one of the reasons the game is so flawed. Regardless, I´m excited for this. Hope you didn´t crunch yourself while working on this wonderful mod

Just confirming, but when you say other covenants won't be available on release, you mean their online elements specifically yes? Will I still be able to do Pilgrims of Dark and fight Darklurker with friends?

You know theres alot of games that come out that are early access and people are often disappointed with them but seamless coop is not one of those things. It has reinvented the way we play this games for the better. Even if there are bugs or game breaking things we trust you and will wait. Id wait as longer than I waited for gta 6 if it meant we were still getting it. So take your time. We will wait as long as you need. Thank you for investing in us.
