Last Sword Miniatures

Hello everyone. We reach the end of the year with a fully packed month. On this occasion, both the Fantasy and Historical Tiers share a common thread: soldiers of fortune, elites fighting by contract, and the best military technology money can buy. Here is the full breakdown of the content you will

Greetings, Adventurers. You already know the shield wall. Today, Part II of The Adventurer release brings pure offensive power. History called them the Pelekyphoroi ("the axe-bearers"), the shock force capable of splitting Frankish armor and Arab mail in a single blow. Here are the Emperor's executi

Greetings, Adventurers. The contract is signed. December brings the chill of the North and the gold of the South. Today, we reveal the first half of what’s coming to The Adventurer Tier: the command core and the battle line of the Varangian Guard. But keep your steel ready... the rest of the guard i

Look at what’s cooking in the digital oven! Next month we are bringing you the Varangian Guard. For those who don't know them, they were the elite of the elite: Northmen hired by the Byzantine Empire to serve as the Emperor's personal guard. A brutal mix of Viking fury and Imperial discipline. Between the 8th and 11th centuries, the víkingr were not just raiders but also farmers and traders who, come spring, set sail in search of wealth and renown. Chests like this one, found in ship burials such as Oseberg, have revealed Anglo-Saxon coins, Arabic dirhams, and Byzantine jewelry — silent w

Hey folks, We’ve painted quite a few things this month. For those of you who haven’t been keeping an eye on our social media, here’s a quick recap. What do you think?

Two paths. No mercy This month we present two opposing forces. One marches from the north: farmers turned fighters, trance-driven warriors, and seers who speak with roots and bones. The other rises from forgotten lands, far from patrol roads and noble banners. Where luminarias rot, bodies twist. And

Special miniature – Narrative support for northern armies and historical scenarios Hello, patrons. This time I bring you a different kind of miniature—not made for direct combat, but with a clear role on the tabletop. The Norse shaman, accompanied by his young assistant, adds depth to historical and

🛡️ May – Viking Bondis and Hirdmen The Adventurer – Last Sword Miniatures This month we introduce one of the most representative units of the Scandinavian medieval world: the bondis and hirdmen — the infantry backbone of the military and social structure of the Norse kingdoms between the 9th and 11

“Where the forest gives shade and shelter, the axe turns winter into firewood and man builds his home.” — Proverb recorded in the Codex Regius, Iceland, 13th century Long before halls were raised or runestones carved, survival began with shelter. The woodcutter’s hut was more than a dwelling — it wa

"In battle, some men seemed like wolves or savage dogs, biting their shields and striking without fear of death." — Chronicle attributed to Adam of Bremen, 11th century In Norse tradition, the ulfhednar were warriors devoted to Odin, famed for wearing wolf pelts and fighting under the influence of s

“Thrown into battle bare-chested, wide-eyed and roaring. They fought not for glory, nor for gold. They fought because the frenzy devoured them from within.” — Chronicles of Uppsala, 11th century For centuries, the name of the berserkers has echoed across Europe like a wild storm. Feared even by thei

We're already working on next month’s release! It will focus on berserkers and a new group of Viking warriors with more dynamic poses—fully compatible with the previous shieldwall set, so you'll have more options to build your warbands. Here’s a first look at the berserkers. More to come soon!

Step into a world of legends and heroes this February, where the elegance of elven nobility meets the fierce spirit of Viking shieldmaidens. The Princedom of Tor Rufánë brings the majesty of an ancient elven realm to life, while the Shield Maidens calls forth the raw determination of Nordic warriors

To wrap up the Adventurer’s month, we bring you a couple of houses with classic Viking architecture. 🛡️🏠 Little by little, we’ll be expanding the scenery for the historical range—we hope you like it! These houses are designed to be printed on medium-format resin printers. Thank you for your suppor

To wrap up the Shieldmaiden characters, this month we bring you a Jarl, clad in armor inspired by Lagertha but with a much more historical approach. Alongside her stands her young daughter, ready to carry on her mother’s legacy. These have been some of the most fun characters to sculpt—we hope you e

This month, instead of focusing on a single type of troops, we’ve prepared a small group of female warriors covering most battlefield roles. The idea is to complement the warriors from previous months, allowing you to expand your army in a balanced way. We’ve also made sure to keep maximum compatibi

Exciting news from the workshop! Bannerman Tier: Who doesn’t love a good axe? Well, our prince on foot has two! Ready to chop, slash, and lead your troops like a true badass. With the Shieldmaidens, we’ve taken the opportunity to create a noblewoman who is not necessarily clad in her armor. I believe she is a very beautiful and unique character, as she is not typically portrayed this way.

Hi everyone, This month, the Adventurer tier will be slightly different from previous Viking-themed months. Normally, we’ve focused on representing a specific type of troop. However, this month, we’ve decided to offer female miniatures that will allow you to expand all existing troop types. We felt

This month, Last Sword Miniatures presents two thematic collections exploring different facets of Fantasy and Dark Ages conflict: the calculated strategy of the Dogs of War and the fierce resilience of Viking clans. A combination that showcases both the elegance of mercenaries and the raw struggle f

Sven knows with unshakable certainty that the gods stand by his side. Fearless in battle, he bows to no one.

The bondi archers, seasoned professionals of war, stand as a formidable threat to their enemies.

Many times, the problem we face is that the scenes we would like to represent require more than one miniature involved. The good thing about miniature games is that they allow us to be less strict with the bases.

It's time to start looking at next month's miniatures. Here you have the first of the Viking Fyrdmen Archer sets, although we've intentionally added some better-equipped miniatures to provide a bit of variety.

This month, LastSword Miniatures brings an exciting range of releases for the Bannerman and Adventurer Tiers, featuring detailed miniatures full of character to enrich your armies and collections. And the last of the new releases for the Adventurer tier is Gudrum. He's removing his cloak while holding his sword defiantly, just moments before entering combat. Personally, I really enjoy these kinds of characters. However, in the previous post, a user suggested that there might be too many. Shou

This month, we bring you the Viking Fyrdmen unit, consisting of two sets of 4 miniatures each, plus a command group of 3 additional figures, led by Hersir Halfdam. The Fyrdmen are designed to position themselves right behind the shield wall, reinforcing the ranks and holding the line in battle. Addi

In historical miniatures, especially from the ancient period, they often suffer from excessive simplicity, and the miniatures end up looking too uniform, when in fact it’s a period that, due to the handcrafted nature of garments, should be rich in details. In the Viking range, we are doing a lot of

And here are the last miniatures missing from the Adventurer tier: the command group of the Bondis from the shield wall. As you can see, we are intentionally working with different heights among the members of the units. These are not mistakes, but completely intentional. I hope this touch of realis

This month, you received the figure of a young Jarl, arrogant and defiant, as befits his age. But next month will be different: a veteran Jarl, hardened by time and the scars of countless battles. This warrior, at the peak of his experience and strength, is ready to claim his place on the battlefiel

Hello everyone, During the WIPs, we showed you some individual miniatures of the work we've been doing this month for the Adventurer. We continue with our small collection of domestic farm animals :)

Here is a small example of the Shield Wall warriors. They are designed with interchangeable arms and heads, so even though the members of the back row have a forced pose due to their position in the wall, they can be assembled more naturally with the shields from the first or second row. The kneelin

Greetings to everyone, September is here, and it's time to go back to school. For us, it's going to be a very busy month as we are in the final stretch preparing for the Freak Wars this week. If any of you are visiting Madrid and want to meet us, you'll find us there. On another note, we've set up a

Here’s a small preview of what the new tier will include. We’ve created 8 miniatures: 4 with spears and 4 with Danish axes. This is Adrian’s first month on our sculpting team, and we’ve focused on teaching him things like fitting, proportions, and the level of detail we seek in our miniatures. That’

Second miniature of the new tier that we will start next month. As you can see there are many elements that are not the most stereotypical. But we have tried to make them all plausible. There is nothing that is anachronistic.

Hello everyone, Starting in September, we will have some changes to our Patreon. Firstly, the current tier Chest will be renamed The Bannerman. Essentially, nothing changes here; we will continue developing the various army lines as we have been doing. We will introduce a new tier called The Adventu
