Final September Preview: Greek Temple, Dwarf Cannons and Keeper of the Faith
Welcome to the final September preview for Last Sword Miniatures. After exploring our infantry lines, command figures, and specialized support units across the previous weeks, we are closing the month's reveals with the last three additions to the lineup: the Greek Temple, the Dwarf Cannons, and the Keeper of the Faith.
The Adventurer: Greek Temple
The Greek Temple brings a substantial architectural centerpiece to The Adventurer tier. Rather than a standalone facade, the renders depict a fully realized rectangular building featuring fluted columns along porticoes at both short ends, triangular pediments, a decorated frieze running beneath the eaves, and a pitched tiled roof over enclosing side walls.
Multiple perspectives showcase the exterior architecture alongside cutaway and end views that reveal the construction of the enclosed central chamber and detailed interior flooring. These renders highlight how the complete structure stands together from every angle, providing a solid historical focal point for ancient battlefields and classical scenery setups.
The Bannerman: Dwarf Cannons
For The Bannerman tier, the Dwarf Cannons showcase a pair of staged artillery emplacements designed around heavy ordnance. Each position centers on a large cannon mounted on a rugged, iron-braced wooden carriage, surrounded by active dwarf crewmen positioned at their stations to direct fire, work the machinery, and brace for the blast.
Both scenes incorporate protective timber mantlets positioned to shield the artillerymen, along with ammunition, loose cannonballs, utility barrels, and maintenance tools scattered across the staging area. These surrounding details give each emplacement the distinct character of an active, working battery rather than an isolated gun on the field.
The Crusader: Keeper of the Faith
The Crusader tier introduces the Keeper of the Faith, the dedicated chaplain figure for the Space Legions. The model is clad in heavy power armor bearing ornate reliquary details, an iconic skull-faced helm, a sculpted tabard, and a bound book secured at his side.
Armed with a compact ranged sidearm and an ornate skull-topped crozius, the renders display two distinct presentation choices: an aggressive weapon-forward stance and an authoritative pose with the crozius held aloft in an exhorting gesture. The final view places the figure against a ruler for scale, offering a clear reference for the overall proportions of the character.
