Hello all!
Eh... Monday. Rendering is in an interesting state. I have about one and a half scenes left to do. Doesn’t sound too bad, right? Except that the two scenes are about half of the update, and both can be missed with a choice made earlier. However, that being said, the last scene is... hmm... how to put it? Part of asymmetrical branching. Meaning that choice A) made back in whenever gets content in this update, while B) gets content down the line. This is already planned, and even the B choice has been written, however, it isn’t time for that yet. Yeah, anyway, fairly certain I’m still rendering come Friday.
As for writing, it is on schedule. Just need to decide a couple of things and then do some prototyping of things. Yay. But all is good for now.
Okay, so, a couple of renders. First... If you told Qian to ask Li about the jian it happens now. If not? Well... you won’t be seeing this one. The explanation ended up longer than I initially anticipated; I thought it was going to be two or three pages; it ended up maybe five pages in total. It is somewhat interesting for world-building and from Li’s personal history point of view in a sense.
And then there is this; this is partially shown for feedback, I suppose. This singular image is in the game, although I’m planning on adding the "click to continue" mechanic to it, but in case I forget it you can have it for more detailed viewing as well. It will make sense when seen in the game. Although... I might want to try red atmosphere... Anyway. Short break and then hopefully finish the scene. With luck...

Hey Tal can we have a dragon lover as well. Also remember that demon general from Soceror 1. I like her she looked hot
Neither of those two are planned, and characters are locked I'm afraid. There are couple that haven't been introduced yet...
Thanks , but I guess I miss that scene and you can color me mistified (and hang me for punnishment.
Well, that's why there is always the possibility of replaying things in the future, or when things are completed and can try different things then...
dark red instead of grey blue would make it more sinister... or, you could go full Cthulhu with dark yellowish green. not sure what you want to go for. I'd say look up Aga Fire or void fire for colour inspiration if you want to try abstract ideas. EDIT: void fire is basically the dark version of a Cesium flame. basically replace the white/light purple with black in that flame. Aga fire is basically an irregular wood fire in the dead of night (very little to no additional light) or out in space. hope this helps.
I made a red version, generally problem with red is that it is one of those colors that easily hides things so it is "darker". But I'll play with it more when I get the time...
That last render is kinda breath taking and if you add a red atmosphere, it will be even more so. Thank You for the update.
Thank You Tal ❤️❤️😁
