Update - 11/05/2022
Hello, everyone! How was your weekend? I had a nice DCC funnel session; it was my first experience GMing that game, and my players loved it! We're starting a new campaign with the characters that survived, one that is heavily homebrewed by me. I can't really say it's DCC or any other game right now, other than it's D&D. As a matter of fact, my idea is to share all these rules with you, as I mentioned before. There are many I've stolen from a lot of different systems, but there are a few original things as well. I'll make a cool document, credit my sources, and upload it here. I'm completely sure you'll find at least some of it useful. It's all geared towards a low-magic campaign though, so for example, there are no casting classes; all characters can learn a spell if they come across a scroll and they study it. Magic items are also rare, and the most interesting ones are trinkets that have powers that you unlock after fulfilling some specific requirements; you can then take one of those trinkets and forge it into a sentient weapon! So yeah, I think there are cool things here that make D&D closer to what I like.
I've been hard at work this week, trying to figure out what to do with my dungeon. It's going slow because when I start I realize I need to first know this or that detail about the Acavian Empire, which means I need to first write that up. Nothing goes to waste though, because all this is just work that you'll guys enjoy once I start releasing more Empire Undying content (soon!).
Here's an EU illustration, by Ecem! It's one of the things you'll face in the dungeon...
In other news, Vi has started working on the editing for Across a Thousand Dead Worlds once again, and chapter 1 & 2 are completely done! Granted, these are the shortest chapters, but that means Phil can start working on the FINAL layout for them, which is fantastic! Vi has also started working on chapter 3, which is all the rules, so it will take some time. And of course, I'm overseeing it all and approving all the changes and suggestions. So yeah, things are moving!
And that's it for this week, I hope everyone has a great one!
