Update - 14/03/2022
Hello guys, how's everyone doing? I hope you all had a nice weekend, full of games and resting. This last week I've been fully dedicated to Empire Undying, and it's been really fun! I'm still focusing on the lore stuff, and that's the first thing I'll share with you, but I also have some ideas and things prepared for a system-less "dungeon" that I'll eventually convert to EU. For now though I'm continuing the work on the glossary of terms and the empire's timeline, and I must say it's cool because the story is evolving in an organic way, and now I'm just following the logical path based on the few fixed preconceived concepts I initially had about the empire. I'm doing it all with the help of a crappy map I'm making with Wonderdraft, one that will eventually become the actual map of the Acavian Empire, once I hire an illustrator for it. It's too early to do so though because there are way too many things in the air, like the locations of mountains, forests, cities, etc. I only add them to the map when I need them, so it's all happening very organically. I think I might share the crappy Wonderdraft map with you guys though because without it, the constant referencing to regions and places can be confusing, but it's a bad map, haha. I might clean it up a bit or recreate it, but I think it's a waste of time because as I mentioned it will eventually turn into an actual map by an actual cartographer.
Across a Thousand Dead Worlds is finally in the editing phase, and Vi has already sent me stuff to check out. This also marks the end of playtesting, which is scary, haha. I am thinking that once the PDF is finalized I might leave at least a couple of weeks for backers to go over it and test it, in case we need to make a final balance/fixes pass, before sending it to print. I've seen many creators do it so I think it would be a smart thing... I'll probably poll the backers about it, though!
So I'm afraid that's it for this week, I'm keeping my head down working on stuff and I hope I'll have something for you very, very soon!
Have a great week!
