DESTROY HISTORY: RAVE ON 1
A new fun comic begins today. If you're not familiar with these series, they leak out slowly, starting in protean form, before gaining their shape. I'm not sure when the next page will emerge but it'll be along eventually.
This story was conceived by my girlfriend Laura Snapes, who gave me the plot elements in the same way that you might throw a selection of stock vegetables at a chef, then hit him over the back of the head with a pan and tell him to get on with it. I will do all I can to honour her vision!
Shelley is singing "Manchester United Calypso", one of the greatest football songs ever written, by anybody. It's from 1957 so you might not know it. I have no interest in Manchester United, but this song, hoo boy, what a beauty. It's got everything.

Is your girl friend's last name really Snapes? I assume everything you right has at least a private joke to it.
Oh oh oh I am overwhelmed! Thank you, John.
What a find!
Well, it sure is better than other sportsball songs (stares down nose at the Super Bowl Shuffle)
Meanwhile Shelley's handbag is playing "The Song that Never Ends". Because it's Nemulon-and-on, my friends.
Sid and I should talk sometime about what it’s like here in Canada during hockey season.
So does "Busby babes" mean they play football like Busby Berkeley dancers -- very leggy, extensively choreographed, often in skintight outfits with feathers?
They were young men and their manager was called Matt Busby. He was very leggy and performed highly choreographed routines in skintight outfits with feathers.
I'm happy to see this duo again ♡.
I tried playing chess but never got past the first boss battle
Definitely. It is definitely ... something. Or maybe I should say it's ... something else?
Wow, that song is...something.
