Q&A 38: Everything, unfortunately
Patreon subscriber Alex contacted me to ask if there was a page that listed everything I've published, and where you could get it. FAIR QUESTION!
A few readers have done timelines of the series, and I'd had a go myself, but I'm not too into prescriptive approaches to my work. I started reading Marvel comics in the Jim Shooter era where every issue could supposedly be someone's first. I would land somewhere in the mid however-many hundreds, be confused, but also into what I was reading. I know some people want to go through it all chronologically, but the idea that I'd tell someone that they have to read Bobbins comics from 1999 before they can understand Giant Days is - how can I put this - not getting the point.
But Alex has asked for a way to find everything, and see everything, and I think that's fine, and necessary. Unfortunately the only way I could do it was with a spreadsheet, which I made while I was eating my breakfast this morning. It became quite a long breakfast. I'm very full now.
I've made it into a PDF that you can print out and cross things off on... forever. I'm bound to have missed something off (Civil War 2: Choosing Sides, Human Soup and other anthology appearances were omitted by design) but I think it's a good starting point.

Any chance us subbers could get a PDF of Space is the Place at some point? This list highlights it as the only Bad Machinery chapter that is tied to online.
Shame that Heavy Metal Hearts + Flowers isn’t available anywhere right now Could that potentially get a Patreon PDF or Gumroad release?
Human Soup is still one of my favorite JA one off-s
Amazing! My completist heart is gladdened by the fact that I have read everything here except the original Bobbins and have hard/electronic copies of nearly all. Thank you (again) for creating such a wonderful body of work!
I thought that story on Civil War 2: Choosing Sides was just a fever dream I had.
Fantastic! Thanks John. A helpful guide to find the things I haven't read yet (that are still available somewhere). The notion of having to read everything chronologically from the beginning is madness. I appreciate that while your work builds on the things that came before, anyone can jump in at any point and enjoy what they're reading without ever having to go back. (But the longer-term readers get the rewards of longer-term reading.)
Cool to see all the print/PDF releases laid out like this! However, I now must be annoying and point out the errors: - Girlspy, Ghosts and New Bobbins are also on Patreon. - Scareodeleria and Skellington are listed twice (the second Skellington should be Peloton) - Destroy History: NEMS is also on Gumroad. I also feel like if Conan is listed despite not being available anywhere, then Human Soup and ITNGUTI also deserve to be there, as they are on Patreon (or maybe not ITNGUTI if you understandably don't want to inadvertently add to the list of people asking you to write a follow up), but that's obviously subjective.
I've taken these amends into account. Conan I added as it is a frequently asked question of its own, ITNGUTI... think of it as an easter egg.
I'm sorry to report that http://bobbins.keenspot.com is no longer serving your content as it was a week ago. It now just redirects to the generic keenspot https page now
It is still working. Check that your browser isn't automatically trying to access it as https.
This is terrific, thank you for putting it together! (Not wanting to be That Person, but I think SGR book 7 should be 'Peloton', rather than a repeat of 'Skellington'?)
I was thinking just yesterday about needing a list exactly like this. There must have been something in the air :D
