Reprint desk
In an unusual (for me) and experimental move, I am going to reprint Murder She Writes, my late 2011 comic. My records say that it's my best-selling ever self-published book (it comfortably outsold some of the books that actual publishers put out!)
It'll necessarily be a short run, but I've enjoyed putting out a range of minis over the last couple of years, and this is one that always went over well. It's probably been out of print for a decade. I'll do a new cover and see if there are a few pages of contemporaneous extras I can stick in the back of it.
Murder She Writes was the only outing for Shelley and young Lottie, and looking back over it as I clean up a few bits that I coloured very carelessly (ie apparently didn't bother to colour), I think it's a shame they never had any more outings together in that vein. Of course, there was Author Unknown in 2021, but that had a different flavour. Modern Lottie is a somewhat different character in young adulthood. It's been fun to re-connect with the younger, more fearless version. It took me a few goes to recapture her energy but I think the drawing above got it.

I would have sworn I already owned this, but if I do I can’t find it, so hooray for reprints!
HOORAY! (start pirouetting).
This is great news. I love Murder She Writes so much, and was desperate for a physical copy (I missed out first time around).
I look forward to placing my extra-order
Can't believe it's not called Murder She Grote
I considered this at the time but as a standalone title I thought it was a little gnomic. Apparently I forgot this line of thought when I named a later book the un-Googleable "THAT".
Looking forward to owning a physical copy. I wonder if this could lead to other old material being reprinted, even if it’s not as likely.
Expecting To Fly should get a reprint at some point, in one volume. The only other one I have an interest in reprinting is THAT, but it's a funny big format so I'd have to shrink it somehow. I've not looked at it in more than ten years so it might be terrible. I think it would have to have a new title too. Maybe "MOTHS MOTHS MOTHS MOTHS MOTHS MOTHS MOTHS". That's a catchy one.
I have the first printing of MSW—it's great!
I can't wait! I will buy this immediately at the very first opportunity.
Jazzed up for this and will be waiting on the green light to buy should you go ahead with it.
Murder She Writes is one of my favorite one-offs of yours and I wholly approve and support this course of action!
I suspect, but cannot prove, that at least half of young Lottie's dialogue consists of sentences that had never before nor since been uttered. I wouldn't say she's the peak of your authorship so much as the Breakout Album. Like when Iron Maiden hired Bruce Dickinson.
Oh, yes! Murder She Writes is near top of my "Most Wanted Print Comics" list as a latecomer, so this is great news. This may just be a one-off, but if it's successful enough for you to consider other reprints in the future, I'll just put in my vote for THAT now.
Take my money please
Ooh, love that idea! Very much a shut up and take my money moment. I got it on Comixology (pause for a moment of silence), and enjoyed every panel, but never in good old physical media.
