[MW Batch 2] Souslime Jar - A... Wondrous Item?
Cold, Desert, Ooze, Magic Item
“Gurf… did your greataxe just scream ‘Gods oh gods, help me please, it hurts, whatever you have to do make it stop please?’
... Maybe?”
— Conversation between Mizzard the Wizard and Gurf the Barbarian, shortly after a trip to the Bahr Arrimal desert
This item has 6 charges and regains 1d4 + 2 expended charges daily at dawn.
Soul Putty. As a Bonus Action while holding this jar, you can expend 1 charge to pour out its contents, causing the slime to shape itself into an object of your choice. This object can be any weapon, a Shield, any Spellcasting Focus, a piece of adventuring gear, or a Tiny object such as a tankard or a glove. The object is a generic version; for example, you can shape the slime into a key, but not the key to a specific lock. The object lasts for 1 hour or until you use a Bonus Action to return it to amorphous slime, at which point it flies back into the jar. While the object exists, this property can’t be used to create a new one. If you choose to create a weapon, Shield, or Spellcasting Focus, they have the following benefits:
Weapon. When you deal damage with this weapon, you can choose for it to be Cold damage instead of its normal type. You can expend 1 additional charge when creating the weapon to grant it a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made using it.
Shield. While wielding this Shield, you can use a Reaction when you take Cold damage to reduce it by 1d6. You can expend 1 additional charge when creating the Shield to grant it a +1 bonus to the AC it offers.
Spellcasting Focus. When you cast a damaging cantrip using this Spellcasting Focus, you can choose for it to deal Cold damage instead of its normal type. You can expend 1 additional charge when creating the focus to grant it a +1 bonus to the spell attack rolls and save DC of cantrips cast using it.
Sentience. The Soulslime Jar is a sentient Neutral item with an Intelligence of 10, a Wisdom of 10, and a Charisma of 10. It has hearing out to a range of 120 feet, and can speak and understand Common. It rarely speaks; when it does, it’s in a strained, raspy voice.
Personality. The Soulslime Jar is what remains of a sentient creature melted into a magical item and awarded to travellers by a mirage fiend, as part of its sick games. Its existence is torment, and it often groans and wails wordlessly in agony as it’s used. Only a vestige of its former personality remains, very rarely showing in the form of a call for help or relief, or an incoherent ramble.
----------------------------------------------------
Rare variant: Increase the charges to 9 and the recharge to 1d6 + 3. Increase the number of additional charges you can expend when creating a weapon, Shield, or Spellcasting Focus to 2, granting the item a bonus of its respective type equal to the number of charges expended.
Very rare variant: Increase the charges to 12 and the recharge to 1d8 + 4. Increase the number of additional charges you can expend when creating a weapon, Shield, or Spellcasting Focus to 3, granting the item a bonus of its respective type equal to the number of charges expended.

-Ah, the art link still sends us to the Mirage Fiend (and the text reads "Get the stats for this fearsome foe DOWN BELOW!") so it slipped by :p
the stats are there, I just forgor to add the new art to the folder, oops!
I think it works great and is a perfect item for the lore of the djinn. Is there any ideas on improving the other items/gear it can create when the item’s rarity increases?
if it wins the Batch 2 vote we could do something extra! Maybe it can turn into armour...?
