Deathburgh: Alpha rulebook now available!

After a long year of research and development, we are beyond excited to announce the Alpha release of Deathburgh, the first Highland Miniatures tabletop game.

In previous publications we have already seen a first glimpse at the miniatures and universe of Deathburgh and the basic gameplay and ideas of the game.

What's inside the Alpha Rulebook

The purpose of this Alpha release is to gather as much feedback as we can to iterate upon this first version of the rulebook in order to improve it for a Beta release in the coming future.

To be more specific, we are play testing the basic concepts -including the miniature activation and modes- and combat mechanics.

Within this first rulebook you will find the basic rules to play a sample game of Deathburgh:

Basic Concepts: Line of Sight, Movement, Miniature Activation, etc.
Miniature Profile and Composition.
Combat Mechanic: Charge, Melee Combat, Dodge, Flee, Ranged Combat.
Combat Resolution.
Map and Terrains: sample scenario.
Sample Warband A and Sample Warband B.

These are a first step into the rules of Deathburgh. Advanced rules and further warband customization are coming in the future.

We Need Your Feedback

As this is the Alpha version, your feedback is invaluable to us. Here's how you can help:

Playtest the Game: Find a friend, a fellow gamer or just pick some random from the street and play a sample game of Deathburgh. Explore the mechanics, experiment with it, and try to break the game.
Share Your Thoughts: Let us know what you loved, what didn’t work, and any ideas you have for improvement. Your insights will directly influence the development and refinement of Deathburgh.
Report Issues: Encounter any weird phrase, unclear rules, or balance issues? Please document them and share them with us so we can address them promptly.
