I would guess the officers, although they made for some great entertainment, were probably thinking this guy is on Bath Salts or Flakka....and felt they would he overpowered by some super human strength...so they probably wanted to have more that a couple officers together, before taking him down. But bath salts or flask are known for making people strip down naked. Im not a police officer, but I think I would have run from him too, without having backup. If it was some kind of drug induced thing, hitting him with the baton may not have stopped him.
