Bush Blade In The Hog Bucket - Parsons, Tennessee
This week, in Parsons, Tennessee, a man walks into a house to discover his baby niece, crying in a crib, and his brother, butchered in bed. His brother's wife is missing, sending police on a mission to find her, not knowing if she's in danger, or if she's the killer. It turns out to be something much crazier, resembling a Coen brothers film, in its pure strangeness. A wild, cold blooded scheme, fueled by "a straw full of crank", and played out for a very odd reason!!
Along the way, we find out that you can only bake so many things with lemons, that a "straw full of crank" is probably too much crank & may make you commit horrible crimes, and that if your brother wants to duct tape you, and stuff you into your own car trunk... RUN!!!

Not much to bake with lemon?! Jimmie…Dream with me! Think of a snickerdoodle cookie. Instead of cinnamon, use lemon zest. In addition to vanilla add some lemon extract too. The cream of tarter that gives the snickerdoodle one of its distinctive flavors, and most certainly its perfect texture works beautifully paired with lemon. Also, JIMMIE, you failed to land on a LEMON BAR?! For two comedic gems who have referenced Drop Dead Gorgeous more than a dozen times I’m Midwest disappointed, lemon bars didn’t come to mind. I would feel a certain way if I wasn’t an adoring fan.

Adding to Alaskakat, Stephen Decatur was sent to the Mediterranean in the early 1800s by President Thomas Jefferson to eliminate the “Barbary Pirates” who were terrorizing American merchant ships and their crews. Until the late 20th century, Decatur was the most decorated officer in the history of the US Navy.
My dad had a water bed into his early 30's (I think around 2006 he got rid of it)
9:50 Jimmy sold his soul for a fence
Poor Jimmie. He just sounds flummoxed so many times in this episode, lol!
Got a bit of a jump scare from the episode; my mom’s name is Janice Anne and my dads name is Tim. A little too close for comfort.
East TN over here, where the Great Smokies are. Parsons and areas between Nashville and Memphis are lowland, heatwave areas 😭 some hills, but mainly boat-towns and inland beaches, especially towards AL and MS
This fuckery happened on my birthday - nooooo 😂
HOA’s- after watching the documentary “‘Twas the fight before Christmas” I find myself siding with the HOA. And I was waiting to see him appointed to some made up position in the federal government ensuring Christianity is the only religion in the USA. On apple N peacock I believe.
Question: I remember once 911 was firmly in place even if your phone was disconnected you could still dial 911. Am I misremembering?
☠️My husband and I just drove to Parsons to buy a car yesterday from a guy we found online. We both got worried the further we got into the middle of nowhere. It all worked out, but absolutely thought we were not going to make it out alive and shared our location with others. 🤣
My aunt and uncle still had their waterbed in the 2000’s when they were in their 60’s.
I think I need flash cards to keep up with all these people's names at the start of this story....
The episode title sounds like a wrestling move 🤣

I don't think I could ever live somewhere with an HOA. Sound like a nightmare.
I will never understand how a person could take another person's life, especially in such cruelty, other than to think that this is just a monster.
HOAs suck, but when my friend and her husband were looking for a place to buy around Phoenix, not in Phoenix but outside Phoenix, she said they really only had HOA‘s available. Non HOA homes were basically hovels that would require $100,000 worth of work to be habitable so unfortunately for some people HOA‘s are the only way to get a house that’s halfway decent.

I have an uncle who still sleeps on his old ass waterbed from the 80’s
I had a friend who had one in the late 80s and early 90s. As a kid, the concept sounded neat but I sat on it once and never would again! So uncomfortable!
I need to dig into this family tree. My dad's side is full of Roberts and Jans. This is slightly creepy.
Well with a title like that, how am I not going to listen?
it's genius. Could be a rock album
The name Decatur derives from Stephen Decatur Jr., a famous U.S. Navy commodore and national hero of the early 19th century. During the 1820s and 1830s—a major era of westward expansion and town founding in the American South—newly established county seats and settlements (such as those in Alabama and Georgia) rapidly adopted his name to project civic pride, fierce patriotism, and reverence for early American military heroes. 🫤
I was literally screaming it to my phone while listening to that. A tree? WTH boys? 🤣
Bush Hook= Sling Blade!!! Mmm hmm
Lmao I was wondering why people were clamoring for this to be posted, then I read the title and said “oh shit!”
it’s up!! woo hoo ! 🤪
