The Explosive Enigma Murders - Naples, Florida
This week, in Naples, Florida, we go behind the curtain of a rich family, with some grown children who just seem to want to waste the whole fortune. But when this family are victims of a massive explosion, that causes carnage & chaos, there are a lot of theories. Maybe someone was mad at the drug addict, fast car racing son? Maybe they were targeted by jealous people? Maybe it was someone with a lot to gain from these people being blown to bits. A wild mystery!!
Along the way, we find out that apparently someone once thought Florida was nicer than Italy, that no matter how rich you are, you still want your children to have some direction, and that when millions of dollars are involved, no one is as trustworthy as they may seem!!

Have you ever been to Naples Italy? Total shit hole.
They literally ted bundy'ed Scott 😭
Lived in Naples for 12 years... your description is absolute perfection! Naples where the rich old people go to die from heat and humidity.
Maybe the reason Steven had such a short fuse and violent outbursts is because he had brain damage from all the huffing.
Trailers (manufactured homes🙄) are going for $250-$500k in my town. And people are buying them. Trying to, anyway. Most have a minimum of 0.5 acres, but the pricier ones have up to 5 acres. We live on the coast in the Southeast, not FL, but not in a standard touristy beach town. Our beaches are for the locals and require a bit of a trek through the woods to get to. Or you have to travel by boat to an island. It’s a really cool, unique place. Back to the half million dollar trailers. We also have hurricane season that really gets in the way of these overpriced trailers getting insured. Most are on flood zones. So there are gorgeous pieces of property being wasted away because some dipshit decided to sell their land to some other dipshit for cheap. Dipshit 2 thinks they’ll make a quick and hefty return on their investment, only for the sale to fall through due to an uninsurable home. Now the property is just useless and has an eyesore taking up the space that used to be for deer, wild hogs, eagles, and other gorgeous creatures. Humans suck. End of trailer rant.
I so wish you could have a series where you pop up at prison cantines and smack the ramen out vile murderer's hands. 🤣🤣
Also happens with poor people like Jimmy said. Crazy story my husband's aunt is actually his cousin. These guys are rural Canadian Mennonites. The day her "mom" died her "sister" (whose in this crazy baptist cult with like 20 kids and women can't wear pants) came up to her and said I'm actually your mom and we will never mention this again. The best part is this family thinks I'm trash because I have big tits I like to put on display. What a joke...
Wayne Kerr … every time! 😂🤣
Mm. Sorry but this is the most confusing story you've ever told. Maybe next week will be better?
The CEO of Zappos died about a 1/4 mi down the road from me when I was still living in New London, CT from doing nitrous in a shed that caught on fire, and he’d locked himself inside. It later came out that he was deeply addicted to nitrous. It was really sad. So there ya go!
I love you guys, but hearing the name of any town or city in PA on your podcast stops me in my tracks.
I phoned the Ford dealership where I'd found what I wanted online. Asked if they had a female salesperson. They said yes. I said thank you. Went down there, asked for her, told her the exact car on the lot I wanted, and bought it.
“If she’s going to eat my meatloaf, she can do it in my face “🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
My mom drinks instant decaf cause she takes adderall now 😆 instant cause she's on social security hahaha
I can’t believe you didn’t know nitrous aka hippie crack was a problem 🫣
Taco John’s is awesome!!!!!!
I live about an hour or so away from Calhoun County, in Fort Walton Beach and I swear to you every Wednesday or so the local Barr downtown has “midget wrestling” as an event. I have no idea how or why this is still a thing. Stoked about moving out of this hellhole.
Love these guys
Whole episode is wild but it was the Happy Hour being in Monticello, Utah that made me cackle. Hubby is from there and trust me there is almost NO WAY it’s better. Could be a great episode from there though!
Telling the child his grandmother was his mother wasn't just to avoid a scandal. In Ireland it was done in case an unmarried mother was taken to the Magdalene Laundries and even if the baby survived being born in those inhumane conditions it would be sold, it used to be referred to a little white lie to save mother and child. The Magdalenes and the Christian Brothers Industrial schools would be very interesting subjects.
After Dark (history hit podcast with Maddie Pelling and Anthony Delaney) an episode on the Magdalene Laundries last week. It was fascinating and horrifying.
I love Jimmies SOAD T-shirt.
SOADIes 🖤
Curious to know if there's any OG turkeys still on here. I've been listening for many years
Yep, really enjoy all their pods
The Stephan/Debbie marriage is the "Trashy if you're poor, classy if you're rich" final boss
I don't wanna work, this episode is insane!!!!!
Naples is also the nail capital of the United States
Executors do not get massive fees. They get 2% of the estate as payment for their time in executing the will. The only time this would be massive is if the estate is for a very wealthy estate. Also they can only legally take their 2% at the conclusion of the execution of the will. Wills have to go through a probate time by the state as well.
How many times did Carol try to get Scott to do something when he was little and he screamed you're not my mother.
🤣🤣
“With Mom on the side!?” 🤣😂
I can’t believe I was reading this right when Jimmie said that!
I have tried to make a normal comment however ai Keri’s trying to prevent me. Basically. James. Duck you. Stop pretending you are smart. You are not. I like your jokes when you are self deprecating. However you now punch down.
Did a blood clot leave this comment?
I loved hearing about how and why they were both doing stand up. I'd love to hear a patreon about how they first met, got into stand up, and how STM and CIS came about. I love origin stories!
Me too.
Picturing this guy as Dennis Hopper in Blue Velvet
It’s the fucking Winter Wine Festival!!
I’m really glad that you guys did end up taking the risk and doing this podcast. It brings so much joy and genuine laughter to my life, more than I can possibly express, and absolutely when I’ve needed it most 💜
I know I can’t be the only one that read that title wrong.
Is anyone else laughing about the name Wayne Kerr? I can't believe the guys didn't spend 5 minutes laughing n joking about it
That one got by them for sure!
is Margaret planning on opening a Costco?!?
I’m thinking so!
Wayne Kerr? 😁
Wow!! You guys are wonderful!
I just heard the name that Aussies and Brits would definitely find hilarious.
I wish my in laws thought my son could do no wrong, but he’s a pariah because he has Profound Autism. My parents have both passed away, and it’s just sad how different my in-laws treat my neurodivergent son versus my neurotypical niece.
I kind of want to know about the other rich sister’s life. I guess she just led a quiet wealthy life lol
This one is up there with the “Bloody Icicles” episode with all the 💩 going on in it!
Nobody freak out on me. As this happens a lot around here. But there is a wicked echo coming from Jimmie that has become more noticeable the past few episodes.
I’ve never noticed that, weird.
Dentist office and whip cream nitrous is totally different from car engine nitrous. If you huff that it will kill you.
It's different now, because of people huffing. Back in the day they were the same.
I stopped consuming caffeine about 15 years ago for medical reasons. Sometimes I get a craving for an iced coffee so I get a decaf one from my local coffee shop. Tastes the same to me.
My uncle is Henry, but goes by Bud, he had polio that left one leg smaller than the other and....he was a car salesman for 35 years.
Guys name is Wanker?
If there is a movie of this I need Scott to be played by 1980s James Spader.
Ha! Exactly 🤣
Sitting in my office in Naples... description is dead on. Everyone is old, rich, and retired. It's 1000° and so humid. I hate it here 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fun fact In the past 10 years or so nitrous used for racing has had an extra gas added so people wouldn't huff it any more
I live by Naples. It is pretty but it is so expensive. People are paying over 3000.00 for rent a month.
STM Drinking Game: re-listen to episode and do a shot every time you hear "39 million". SALUTE!!
Wayne Kerr is hilarious
I know he doesn’t care but was anyone else from the north east going crazy about the way James says Lancaster? lol
Just me and ny childish brain, but did anybody notice the accountants name (49.50) 😂. Wayne kerr?? In the UK we use the word wanker as an insult 😂😂😂😂
I didn’t until now! 😂 my childish brain had a good laugh!
Wayne Kerr. Lol
My mom had a 280 ZX when I was little. There was no back seat, just a hatch. I used to hang out back there with my sleeping bag and books while my mom ran errands. Good times.
I get up at 430 am every morning. Yeah I know. Its silly but a long story of why. Anyways its fucking awesome to wake up and I have episodes from you guys. Makes my morning 🤙🏾🤙🏾
More importantly: Go Bills!
both my mom‘s youngest sister, and my eighth grade teacher had polio. my aunt’s calf was much smaller that the other. It was very very, very, very small with no muscle mass on it at all, and she walked with a little limp because of it. My eighth grade teacher, I needed saw his legs cause he always wore pants, but he also had a pronounced limp. Other than that it never stopped them. My aunt rode horses. My teacher rode bikes and participated in many century races around our town. Their disability did not define them at all.
I had a teacher named Ms. Gage, in 6th grade who had polio. She had a walker with a basket that she Jerry-rigged so she could get around the school (this was the 80’s before these nice walkers 😉)
What’s your thoughts on “Death of a Pastors wife” on Netflix?
I have to finish it but yeah, I hope they do an episode on it.
I was waiting for you guys to take a cheap shot at the name “Wayne Kerr” and then remembered that’s an Aussie/British thing
Oh I'm giggling at every mention
Yayyyyyyyy Jimmie we love youuuuuu
